Amy Dumas a.k.a. Lita, is a former WWE Women's Champion, holding the belt on four different occasions throughout her storied career. Without a doubt, she is one of the most popular female talents in Pro Wrestling & WWE history.

She was first inspired to try pro wrestling after watching Rey Mysterio Jr. perform his lucha libre style maneuvers on WCW Nitro. She moved to Mexico to began her training in 1998.

After working in Mexico for EMLL (Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre), she briefly worked on the independent circuit, appearing with such promotions as MCW (Maryland Championship Wrestling) and NWA Mid-Atlantic, where she first befriended Matt and Jeff Hardy.

She later made her way to ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) after being approached by Paul Heyman.

Lita spent five months with the promotion before the WWE got their hands on a video tape showcasing her abilities. They jumped at the chance to sign her to a contract in 1999.

In early 2000, she started her WWE career as valet to Essa Rios, also formerly know as Águila. Lita got the camera time she needed to make an impact, but the partnership with Rios was mostly uneventful and short lived.

Lita ended her time managing Rios after he attacked her, blaming her for making him lose a match. The Hardy Boyz came to her aid, thus she joined with them to create Team Xtreme!.

Rios didn't fare well after their splitting, as he was released from the company the next year.

Lita began her first feud with Trish Stratus, who was managing T & A (Test and Albert). This started a new storyline for Team Xtreme!, but was only used to fuel the rivalry for Lita and Trish.

In late 2000, she became WWE Women's Champion for the first time, defeating Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley on RAW.

Lita's reign as Women's Champion lasted 73 days. She lost the title to Ivory late in the year thanks to Edge and Christian, whose who feud with Team Xtreme! spilled over into her titles match costing her the victory.

She tried to regain the belt on several occasions, but it wasn't meant to be at the time.

Lita began a feud with Dean Malenko that lasted into early 2001. She was given some assistance by Matt Hardy in order to beat Malenko one-on-one on Raw.

After the match, Hardy kissed Lita, beginning an on-screen relationship and turning their real-life romance into a storyline.

In late 2001, the Hardy Boyz began feuding with one another. Lita served as special guest referee for a match between them in December.

Jeff Hardy won the match when Lita failed to notice that Matt had his leg on the rope during the three count. On the following episode of Raw, Matt defeated Lita and Jeff in a handicap match, seemingly putting an end to both the relationship and the Hardy Boyz.

Soon after, Jeff and Lita were injured during a match with The Undertaker. However, this was a good thing.

The injuring of both his brother and ex-girlfriend led to a reconciliation when Matt decided to challenge The Undertaker only to be injured as well.

Team Xtreme! returned in February 2002, and Lita was later booked in her first WrestleMania match, losing to Jazz and Trish Stratus.

Lita then suffered a stinger while filming a scene for a role in the television program Dark Angel. While attempting a hurricanrana, the stunt double dropped her, causing her to land on her neck. She would require surgery and be out of action for seventeen months.

During her rehab, she made a few appearances on Sunday Night HEAT as a color commentator before returning to the ring in September. She began a short feud with Molly Holly and set her eyes on the Women's Championship once again.

Lita reunited with Matt Hardy when he saved her from a beating at the hands of Kane. Lita then dropped a bombshell, announcing that she was pregnant.

The following week, as it looked like Hardy was going to propose, Kane interrupted to claim to be the father of Lita's baby. Matt and Kane feuded for several months, culminating in a "'Til Death Do Us Part" match at SummerSlam, with the stipulation that Lita would marry the winner of the match.

Kane won, but Lita wasn't happy with it. She began trying to thwart Kane in his matches, showing her disapproval with her new husband.

On Sept. 13, Lita miscarried on Raw after Gene Snitsky bashed Kane with a chair, causing him to fall on Lita. This led to Lita and Kane getting on the same page to take revenge on Snitsky.

With the pregnancy over, Lita returned to the ring and began a feud with Trish Stratus.

Lita beat Stratus on Raw to win her second WWE Women's Championship. During the course of the match, Lita botched a suicide dive, but luckily didn't leave with serious injury.

At New Year's Revolution, Stratus defeated Lita, ending her second reign. In the course of the match, Lita tore her left ACL after jumping off the ring apron onto Trish.

Lita's relationship with Kane ended soon after when she helped Edge defeat him in the finals of the Raw Gold Rush Tournament. Soon after on a very memorable episode of Raw, Lita was set to marry Edge, but the ceremony was crashed by Kane in spectacular fashion.

Behind the scenes, Lita was still in a relationship with Matt Hardy at the time, however storyline and reality started to mix as Lita cheated on Hardy with Edge. This was used on the show to fuel a rivalry between the two men.

Lita made history on several occasions while performing in the WWE.

She competed in the first tag team Bra and Panties match, the first women's steel cage match, is the only woman in WWE history to be involved in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. and

Lita even had a Live Sex Celebration with Edge on the Jan. 9 edition of RAW in 2006 to commemorate Edge’s WWE title victory over John Cena the night before.

The steamy and controversial episode had the highest ratings seen for RAW in over a year. I know I was watching, how about you?

She competed in her last match against Mickie James at Survivor Series in November of 2006, dropping the Women’s Championship in the process.

Since leaving the ring, she founded a band as lead vocalist called The Luchagors, a mix of the words luchador and gore, which began as a joke, but in the end seemed to fit the groups style.

The group released their self-titled alum in September 2007.

Lita made a special appearance on RAW’s 15-Year Anniversary Spectacular in December 2007.

Engaging in a stare down with long-time rival Trish Stratus only to be interrupted by Jillian Hall, resulted in Lita and Stratus attacking Hall and then celebrating together in the ring.

Lita also appeared in a humorous backstage segment with Kane, her former on-screen husband and made another brief surprise guest appearance on RAW during a segment with Pee Wee Herman on November 1, 2010.

Amy currently resides in Atlanta, where she also works as a DJ for Project961′s punk rock radio show called PunkRockalypse every Sunday night at 9 p.m. EST.

She's currently touring with The Luchagors, alongside her weekly radio show. Also investing some time and money towards a restaurant in the Atlanta area called Java Lord’s Lucha Lounge, a lucha libre themed coffee house.

Soon, she will also be working on a movie with former WWE Diva Trish Stratus. The Wrestling Women vs. The Doctor of Doom!

Very busy these days, but will we see her in a WWE ring again? Only time will tell.
