2011 NFL Predictions: Packers To Drop Chiefs' Haley to 0-11 Against the Spread?

Jeff GrantJun 2, 2018

Week 4 of the 2011 National Football League preseason has 15 games scheduled Thursday night and one game will receive an incredible amount of betting interest in Las Vegas due to a single trend.

The Kansas City Chiefs (0-3) and Green Bay Packers (2-1) are set to kick things off at 8:00 EST at Lambeau Field and sports bettors' attention will be squarely fixed on the road team's front man.

Todd Haley is entering his third season in Kansas City and has led a remarkable turnaround from a 2-14 record in 2008 to a 30-7 first-round playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens a year ago.

Fans around Arrowhead Stadium are starting to become concerned with the squad's poor performance for a third consecutive preseason, but professional sports handicappers have reaped the benefits.

Haley is 0-10-1 against-the-spread in the preseason during his career as an NFL head coach.

Green Bay supplied the push on his resume by winning last year's preseason-finale, 17-13, as a four-point underdog at Arrowhead Stadium. The Packers outscored the Chiefs by a 10-3 margin in the second half to make it happen.

Aaron Rodgers didn't participate in that contest and will likely be held out of this contest after a sterling performance in a 24-21 come-from-behind road victory over the Indianapolis Colts

He connected on 19 of 23 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown in playing the entire first half.

Head coach Mike McCarthy continued to tinker with the offense's no-huddle approach and the 27-year-old responded by hitting six different receivers.

Thursday night will serve as the 13th all-time meeting between the two teams during preseason play, as the Chiefs hold a slim 6-5-1 straight-up advantage.

Bettors will likely be hard pressed to ignore the Chiefs' 0-8 ATS mark as an exhibition underdog, while the Packers are 4-1 ATS in their last five preseason contests in Titletown.
