Vince Carter Wanted by Cavs?
The World Famous LayupDrill RumorMill

Another Monday, and another wild trade rumor involving the Cavs.

Last week Cleveland was looking at adding Antonio McDyess to their front court. Now, the News-Herald is reporting that Cleveland will look at acquiring Vince Carter from New Jersey.

Many league insiders feel that Vince Carter is the last piece that the Nets have to unload to complete their overhaul. The Nets' rebuilding process does not include Carter, who clearly is on the downside of his career.

The possibility of having King James and Vince Carter together would definitely be interesting.

Another team throwing their name into the Zach Randolph sweepstakes, should the Knicks decide to let him go, are the Clippers. The Knicks want no part of Chris Kaman, who the Clippers have put on sale as though he were a Black Friday special, but as of now there are few takers.

In order to get Randolph to LA, there would have to be another team involved.

Dallas owner Mark Cuban spoke to media Sunday regarding benched Knicks guard Stephon Marbury. The NY Post reports that Cuban, when asked if several teams would be interested in Starbury, said “absolutely.”

Cuban continued to talk until the word “tampering” must have come into his mind, and he retracted quickly, saying, “I take that back.”

There's no doubt that Dallas would love to have Marbury as the backup point guard for Jason Kidd, and possibly run both Kidd and Marbury on the floor at the same time.

The Mavs would also want to keep Marbury away from the Spurs.
