As I have been reporting the past few days this week, Christian Cage is on his way out of TNA. He is even being written out of TNA by the TNA writers. They were prepared this time so they made a great storyline move that you will see tonight.
They are having the Main Event Mafia basically take out Cage. And they are supposed to be bringing up the WWE. They are making it seem like they are single handily kicking Cage out TNA.
TNA writers did this because of the big possibility that he is going to the WWE. And is seems like it is a reality now. The WWE are now holding off Edge's return so that he can come back with Christian.
Which will ultimately make Edge a face again. Cage's return also brings new depth to the tag division, which the WWE is trying to build up. Right now it is for the new WWE video game SmackDown vs RAW 09.
But they feel by promoting the tag division more people will like it more and more. There were speculations that Cage would return as an enemy to Edge and they would reunite their feud that Cage left off on.
But with Vickie Guerrero and the Big Show as the big heels on SmackDown, we may see them face at on moment, and then like they did with Jericho they will make him a heel a couple months after the return.
Of course Christian Cage was a big star in TNA and he will be even bigger in the WWE, especially now that he has been in TNA and built himself up as a World Title contender. He may even be a future WWE Champion, but we will have to wait on that of course.
Vince has wanted Cage back for a while now, and it looks right now as if he will get him. Cage feels the move to the WWE would be best for his family, and the pay would be just about triple of what he makes in TNA.
So we will have to see what happens, I'll of course keep you updated as much as possible. But right now it looks as if the newest addition to the WWE will be Christian Cage, I'll tell you when it is finalized.

Yeah right.....Yesterday it was reported how quiet Christian is about his business affairs, even to those so personally close to him. Meaning that HE hasn't even told anyone (except maybe TNA Management) if he's leaving TNA for WWE. Now today we're hearing that it's "Set in Stone"???? Give me a break!
Can't TNA simply perform a storyline idea to cover their butts in case Christian DOES go to WWE?

Yeah Christian really keeps to himself. He's even really selective when gives an interview and who he gives one to. It won't be that surprising if he does jump back to the WWE. But many are reporting that Christian feels heel start off hot but he'd eventually would hit the glass ceiling just like before. Some sites are reporting that's the reason he got beat up at the last PPV because their writing him out. Who knows the truth?
Nobody truly knows what he's going to do. It's just conversations on the net like this one that have people assuming they know. -not that that's a bad thing-
But all we can truly do is watch and see.

I super happy that you've garnered near 9,000 reads with this Joe but here's my gripe with this article (cuz you know I've always got one):
Why are you claiming that Edge will be face again? Just because Christian comes back, Edge turns from the hottest heels in the game to be a face again? I don't see that happening at all. People love to hate the Rated R superstar. You are assuming Christian also comes back as a face, if in fact he does come back.
You claim that Christian will be a bigger player when he returns to the WWE. Where is the proof? Ron Killings was a TNA champ and a top talent at TNA but since he's been in the WWE he's in a mid-card feud that can't even get on an actual PPV.
Christian is mulling over the decision with his wife and hasn't decided anything as of yet. With today's economy he is leaning heavily to WWE but I feel he wants to stay in TNA as long as they come with a close enough or matching offer. Your article kinda gives those gullible individuals the feeling like this is a done deal. Everything is speculatory right now

I think if casual viewers ee Edge as a face, they'll simply say screw this, it's getting ridiculous. Edge vs Cage would be a good rivalry, BUT, how do they decide which one then targets the title without..
1. Pissing off Edge, who has worked hard to return to the big stage.
2. Pissing off Cage, who seems to be leaving the comfort of a constant title picture.
If this does materialize, it shall be an interesting one. Still, they could send him to Raw....

I'm gonna agree with everyone else here. Even if TNA lets him go, they will most certainly make him sign the standard 90 day, no compete clause. Why would the WWE hold Edge out that long. It makes no sense. Edge has talent with no ceiling. Christian on more than one occassion has hit a ceiling fan with blades at 100 mph.
I loved the Edge and Christian tag team and their plethra of funny catch phrases, but Edge is a Hall of Famer in the making. Christian is a mid-carder who if he goes to Smackdown will get lost in the shuffle of a deck full of cards who can be the Ace, but very few Aces wind up on top.

Maybe i'm dense but how could TNA make Christian Cage sign a 90 day no compete clause.
That would have to already be in his contract( which is about to expire). And if it is offically expired in November, ( now) TNA would have no say or control at the point of said contract expiring as to how soon Christian could re-debut in WWE.

I actually agree with Joe. If Vince wants him back he will want him ata top spot. I would like to see Christian and Edge back together and start a feud with Vickie after Edge cheated on her. Bring the Canadian bad boys back!

WILL, you idiot he doesn't have to sign an 90 day clause, because his contract will be up next month. you only have to sign a 90 day agreement if they let you go and are willing to pay you to sit on your ass not when your contract is up. after your contract is up you can go anywhere an wrestle anytime you want. IDIOT.

As people have implied, putting the two together as a tag team would surely drag Edge down many, many steps that he has worked hard to put behind him.
If Christian does go to WWE, I'm hoping they'll bring him in as a solo, wrestle a few teaser matches, have Edge return, the classic stand-off between two former partners, an unwilling alliance turning into Edge or Cage turning on the other, realistically i see Edge turning on Christian, as Christian has proved time and again in TNA he's better behind the role of a face than a heel, whereas his previous ventures in WWE proved otherwise.
Christian has come a long way, and with that said, you can't expect them to pair the two up automatically for good. Like I said, they'll tease a partnership, with each of them always competing with one another, with Edge coming out on top, turning on Cage, and igniting a long feud, in which I hope they'll be smart and send Cage to RAW so this feud between the two can be dragged out for a maximum amount of time with minimal encounters (to constantly tease a huge feud), which me penultimately end up in a huge breakout feud a few years down the line.

If Christian returns to the WWE, then he could easily enter the title scene. Vince McMahon isn't going to take a crap on a guy who made a name for himself after leaving the company. As a matter of fact, Mr. McMahon may be relieved that he doesn't have to kick himself in the rearend for it. Christian Cage is coming back, and he's coming back as a main event man on either Smackdown or Raw.

I could see this happening, but I doubt it's to build up the tag division. I've seen no evidence that the WWE cares about its tag division and it can be argued that if the belts on both brands were eliminated, no one outside of purists would care.
If they bring him back, it's to be a cool heel. I hope it happens as his TNA run has been plateaued for a while now.

WWE are currently writing Christian Cage into their story lines with the fact that Jeff Hardy was attacked in his hotel room before two Pay-Per-Views ago, causing him to miss out on a title opportunity. Then on tonights Smackdown, jeff gets hit with a hit-and-run car attack. this is WWE's way of clearly writing Christian back in beside Edge. Anyone who cannot see this has no idea about plots etc.
