It looks like Bill Goldberg has finally come out of retirement to “Rumble in the Jungle!”

Bill Goldberg won’t be alone, as Chris Jericho, Batista, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy and Shawn Daivari will be joining him as well.

The following was reported by Sescoops.com (via source Wrestling Observer Newsletter):

Former WWE and WCW Superstar Bill Goldberg has been teasing that he’ll be returning to the ring later this year—and it appears Goldberg’s return will take place in the African Congo

Goldberg recently shot a promotional video for an October show in the African Congo, billed as the “Rumble in the Jungle II”—playing up the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” championship boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman back in 1974.

During the promo video, Goldberg says the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo is backing the event and helped convince him to come out of retirement.

Several other big names are being promoted for the show including Batista, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, MVP, Matt Hardy, Shawn Daivari and Shelton Benjamin.

It will be interesting to see how this show comes together and whether the huge names promoted for the show actually appear.

This will be a very intriguing and interesting event; it will be nice to see who else jumps on board as this event takes shape.

Also, it will be interesting to see how they match up these former WWE performers.

The biggest aspect that will be noted is if Goldberg still has the ability to compete or if ring rust has caught up with the former WCW and WWE star.

The same goes for Dave Batista.

Stay tuned for more as the story develops.
