WWE Rumor: WWE Smackdown Going to Be Televised Live Soon?!

In a story that could change the company for a long time moving forward, it looks as if WWE is once again testing the "Smackdown waters" to air live shows weekly.

According to a new breaking report, WWE will be holding a LIVE special airing, entitled "SuperSmackDown" on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

Yes, it looks to be a one-time event, but WWE has done these before with Smackdown and almost always has produced better numbers than taped shows airing on Friday.

In my eyes, if the costs match up to ratings growth, then I would be all for it. However, just going live "just to do it" makes no sense to me.

I have no idea if this is yet another "Triple H idea" or what, but I like it.

Raw gets specials. ECW on Tuesday nights even used to have a few special shows every now and then.

Why not Smackdown? Yes, it is the "B-show," but you still have to throw them a bone once in awhile.

This looks to be yet another trial to see how the reaction is to a second live WWE show during the week. Honestly, anything is better than a Friday night.

A Tuesday night live show seems to be just a "one shot deal" for the Blue Brand, but maybe it will catch fire and stay on Tuesdays. You never know with Syfy...

Perhaps go to Thursdays again and up against Impact?
