WWE: My Thoughts About nWo's 15th Anniversary Legend's Roundtable
We all know about the nWo. We all know the history. We all know what they did for the industry. What some don't know is that we just passed the 15th anniversary of their debut on WCW PPV. Some may have missed the milestone, but WWE sure did not.
They recently held a Roundtable Discussion on their WWE 24/7 cable service with the likes of J.J. Dillon, Michael Hayes, Mean Gene, Kevin Nash and Jim Ross. For those of you who have never seen an episode, the premise is very simple. A bunch of legends sit at a big table drinking booze, smoking cigars and they discuss the topic at hand.
What made this episode so unique was having Nash (founding member of nWo) involved. He was the key to making this such an entertaining hour program. Of course, Gene was the man in the middle trying to keep all the discussion on topic, but he also is the "voice of reason" in these things, trying to calm down any argument, settle any debate or as I said earlierākeep everyone in line.
I am not here to plug any WWE related material; I am just here to voice my opinion (good or bad), but this is a must see for any wrestling fan. Young or old, the nWo is such a hot topic in the business, everyone involved in the making of this show deserves a round of applause.
They covered everything from Hall and Nash jumping from WWE to WCW, to why they did it. To how Nash basically drained Ted Turner's wallet while he funded WCW. To how Sting was the original "third man." To Hogan's ego throughout the nWo stories.
Nash explaining the "Fingerpoke of Doom." A few shots were taken at Goldberg. Everything!Ā It covered it all and really is recommended by yours truly.

Without giving away too much of the material, the roundtable ended with the simple question of, "How will the nWo be remembered?" Good question, indeed.
I think it was Jim Ross who said it best: For all the nWo brought into the industry, the goodĀ farĀ outweighed theĀ bad, I can agree with that; looking back 15 years, the nWo certainly was aĀ new worldĀ order!Ā
