EPL: 5 Contenders to Be Norwich City's Top Goal Scorer

Norwich City are due to return to the Premier League and it will be important for them to score goals from all areas, but who will be their top goalscorer?

The main contenders are a mixture of new signings and established Norwich City players. But it will certainly be interesting to see who comes out on top at the end of the season.

Wes Hoolahan

Wes Hoolahan has been a regular contributor of goals from midfield, without being prolific. However, in the position he plays in, there is every chance he will get chances to score a number of Premier League goals. Furthermore, if Norwich spread the goals around next season then a tally of 10 strikes or so could make him the top scorer. Realistically though Hoolahan should be seen as an outside bet at best. 

Simeon Jackson

Simeon Jackson had a very strong finish to the Championship season by scoring a number of crucial goals to help his club secure promotion to the Premier League. Jackson will hope to carry on that sort of form, at the start of the Premier League season. Last season, Simeon Jackson scored 13 goals in the Championship; he will certainly be in the running to be Norwich City's top scorer this season.

Steve Morison

Steve Morison is a new signing at Carrow Road, but he proved to be a regular goalscorer with Millwall last season and managed to contribute 15 goals. Morison will be playing at a higher level next season, but the player has scored goals wherever he has been and he will be confident that he can continue to do what he does best in the Premier League. The question though is, how many games is he likely to play? 

James Vaughan

James Vaughan is a new signing at Carrow Road, but he is one of the few players with Premier League experience. Vaughan though won't be fit for the start of the season, so will be playing catch-up on his fitness. However, if he can recover from his injury quickly and get back involved then he has every chance of being Norwich City's top scorer this season. 

Grant Holt

Grant Holt has to be seen as the hot favorite to be Norwich City's top scorer. When fit, Holt can expect to start games and he has scored goals for fun in the last two seasons. Of course, it will be a lot more difficult in the Premier League. However, Holt has been waiting his whole career to get a shot in the top flight and I firmly believe he will take his chance with both hands. Grant Holt could very well be a Premier League surprise package this season.
