NFL Free Agency 2011: Too Many Free Agents for Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Worry
The demand and uproar is surprising, but then again, maybe it isn't.
Sounds like everyone wants the Buccaneers to sign a bunch of guys from elsewhere.
Fact is, they simply don't need much, they really don't. These Bucs have been doing it the right way for two years now and you still don't trust Mark Dominik's judgement.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
OK, before you all go nuts, consider these numbers available on Friday afternoon for available free agents:
I got so tired of trying to count them, those could be off a man or two. But the point is, there's plenty to choose from.
The Bucs did the right thing in getting a punter. It's been a sore spot the last few years, it's been a turnstile, they've gone through a bunch.
Michael Koenan is a quality punter. He was Atlanta's franchise tag player. No one's talking about him but this is a marvelous pickup. And they took him from a division foe, so you know they have a LOT of film on him. Oh, and yes, he's also a long kicker for kickoffs, huge leg.
They did the right thing in focusing first on their own free agents. Davin Joseph, Quincy Black, Jeremy Trueblood, guys who have been here, are back.
And consider this: Josh Freeman, at some point in time, will command ENORMOUS money as a franchise quarterback. You want money now to extend him this year if you can.
So I ask you, where are the holes?
What holes?
You don't know what the new defensive line will look like, the wild card is new defensive line coach Keith Millard. He will reshape the unit, bet on it.
The offense is really solid. And it all starts with No. 5.
A ton of players have been cut, quality players. It takes some time to really pour though the list then get the pro personnel department to do its homework.
All the draft picks are in camp, which opened this afternoon, minus Allen Bradford and who the heck knows why a sixth-round draft pick is holding out unless he's lamenting the pay cut he's taking from his Southern Cal under-the-table payola.
So stop worrying. We'll know more about all of this come Monday.
In the meantime, they're out there working.
