It appears that Carson Palmer will not be heading anywhere in 2011 and should be retiring if he followings through with his "trade me or I'll retire" request.

Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown made it clear in a press conference Tuesday that he is not going to allow a trade that will send Palmer out of Cincinnati.Ā

Carson Palmer Is Now Retired, According to Mike Brown

ā€œI honestly like Carson Palmer...He was a splendid player for us. He’s a good person. I wish him well. And he is retired. That is his choice...I’m not expecting him to be back.ā€

It is 100 percent clear that Brown labels Palmer as retired, which means you simply cannot trade a retired player.Ā

As of right now, Carson Palmer is the obvious best quarterback on Cincinnati's roster, so why should Mike Brown want to trade away a player like that?
