Jarred Cosart is apparently as untouchable in the trade market as he is on the mound.
According to Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have said that Cosart will not be traded before the deadline.
Let's take a quick look at what he has accomplished and see why the Phillies are so reluctant to trade him away.

2020 MLB Re-Draft โฎ๏ธ

Sox Eyeing Offensive Help โ๏ธ
As one of the Phillies' "Baby Aces," he made a stellar appearance in the Futures Game and is the brightest hope for a future that will eventually need to replace the dominant rotation of the present.
During that game, he picked up the win by pitching one inning with a pair of strikeouts.
This seasonโin Clearwaterโhas been relatively solid, except for a few really bad outings that raised his statistics incredibly.
He had one game on July 18 in which he gave up one run in seven innings.
However, even with this game, he has gone 8-8 with a 4.19 ERA. He has 75 strikeouts in 101 innings pitched this season.
The Phillies have incredibly high hopes for him in the future.
According to Phuture Phillies, a website dedicated to Phillies prospects, they feel as if he has top of the rotation if not ace potential.
The website Minor League Ball projects him as a No. 2 starterโor even a No. 1โif he stays healthy enough.
Obviously, this kid has a very high ceiling.
The Phillies are in a "win-now" mindset, but they do not seem to want to do that at all costs.
The era of the Four Aces will eventually come to an end, although hopefully not too soon.
When it does, Cosart will hopefully be able to lead the Phillies into a new era of pitching dominance.
