Gina Carano Video: Watch the Movie Trailer Starring the Face of Women's MMA

Gina Carano has been called the face of women's MMA because of her stellar fighting style and her appeal to the masses, but now it looks like she is venturing into the movie world.

Her MMA career has gone down the toilet since her loss to Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, and after pulling out of her latest fight due to unknown reasons, Carano is trying to make it in a new field.

Just when they said a girl who knew how to handle herself in the ring didn’t have a future in movies, the preview for Haywire broke.

It’s the story of a woman, played by Carano, who is a highly-trained fighting machine working for the government.

Judging by the preview, she is double-crossed by the government and is trying to find out who did it, and why. As in every preview, the action scenes look amazing, and her MMA skills probably made the fighting scenes pretty sweet.

To me, the movie looks like a modern-day Tomb Raider-type movie, but with a lot more quality fight scenes.

The biggest surprise of the entire preview is the fact that they could get the kind of star power to agree to work on this movie that they did. Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton are just a few of the names that are making this movie a must-watch.

While she was dominant early in her career, Carano has lost much of the hype that surrounded her, and there will be no turning back if this movie flops.

I give it a chance of doing well because of the cast, but if she fails as an actress, this movie is damned to mainstream failure.
