WWE: Now That Triple H Is the Head, What Happens Next?

David LevinJun 1, 2018

If everything is equal and the changing of the guard took place last night on RAW with Triple H taking over as the head of the WWE from Vince McMahon, then the roller coaster ride within both wrestling brands will continue until there is true stability within the company.

The creative team for the company enjoyed great success at its most recent PPV event, leaving the door open for more change, greater rivalries and of course, more chance for growth and development.

Last night, in my opinion, was a little odd, but as I have done some more research and some thinking, a change at the top may very well be the best thing for the brand in light of the fact that RAW has been watered down recently, Smackdown has been more appealing, and TNA is slowing moving up the ranks as a true viable threat to take viewership away from the titan organization.

There is definite room for improvement from last night's RAW program and the fact there was a tournament to determine a new champion shows the brand is serious about moving on after the CM Punk shoot, the need to have John Cena remain in the company but give others a chance to step up as the lead dog in the company and to develop new angles and feuds that will keep fans in the seats on watching on the television.

Right now, everything is fresh in our minds. As someone said to me last night, a Titan was left in tears in the ring. I'd like to think even if McMahon wanted time away from the company and to look toward having his family, most notably Triple H (and maybe his wife, Stephanie) run the show, it can mean a great many good things for the brand.

But until we crown a new champion and see what happens with Cena and where the company's new leader takes them, there are many questions that need to be answered.

10. Who Gets the Next Serious Push?

1 of 10

It would appear that Sheamus, Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan are making the most impact in the company right now.

All three of them appear on Smackdown.

Alberto Del Rio and Drew McIntyre have been pegged as the future of RAW.

Someone needs a push from the pack and to separate themselves from the trinity of Cena, Randy Orton and Christian.

9. Will There Be a New WWE Title Belt?

2 of 10

You have to think with a new regime, there will be a new belt.

The old spinner belt was getting old.

A new champion means new beginnings and since CM Punk left the company and took the title with him, then a new belt is mandatory for a new leader.

The old belt may be brought back into play, but I am hoping for a new design, something that screams new era.

8. Who Is Added to the Creative Team?

3 of 10

I see the chance for Triple H to put his own brand of style on the company with a new creative team.

I also see Shawn Michaels getting a lot of face time in the near future.

I also see the elimination of the anonymous RAW general manager.

Hopefully, we can see a fertile mind take over booking on RAW and a creative team on both sides that can continue to build on the last month and make us love the brand again.

7. Do We Get to See the "Attitude Era" Again?

4 of 10

The WWE built its foundation on attitude and DX had a lot to do with that.

We can also thank Stone Cold, The Rock and Triple H for this.

There is a PG-effect right now in the company. Fans want to see more daring shows.

Triple H can dig into treasure chest and hopefully come up with a creative way to bring PG and Attitude together.

6. If All Else Fails, Will He Wrestle Again?

5 of 10

Vince got in the ring from time to time. But Triple H is a true wrestler and will that mean there will a chance to see the cerebral assassin in the ring?

Triple H had an epic match with Undertaker, proving he can still bring it. But in light of the all the younger talent, would he best be served to sit back and watch the fireworks unravel?

It is hard to walk away from the ring after being in it for so long. It will be interesting to see what happens with his urge to hit someone.

5. Will He Continue to Make Veterans the Center of Attention?

6 of 10

WWE hopefully changed its views this past weekend and Monday night when it looked toward the younger wrestlers to carry the title.

With Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan winning MITB and the WWE title up for grabs, maybe youth will be served.

There are plenty of young stars to draw from in both brands.

Cena relinquishing the title means there can be more emphasis on wrestlers who are younger and more athletic that can carry the load.

4. What Does He Do with Rock/Cena for Wrestlemania 28?

7 of 10

Absolutely nothing. Build on it now!

There is now a chance for the two megastars to build up a true rivalry.

For so long people wondered what would happen with this match, and now there can be some real development.

Rock/Cena may not be the one match people want to see right now, but if Rock gets in the ring before Wrestlemania and battles Cena once or twice, it can be the next best thing to a match with Stone Cold Steve Austin headlining.

3. Will There Be an Old-School Push?

8 of 10

What I mean is a look at stables and tag team wrestling that made Triple H popular and a superstar?

If the WWE is going to get serious, they need to pay attention to tag teams, women wrestlers and maybe dip into the past to get to the future.

While ROH and TNA have tag teams as an important part of their programs, the WWE has shied away from it.

2. What Happens to Cena?

9 of 10

Triple H told Vince that Cena was not fired from the company.

At the same time, what is the superstar's role with the company?

Cena is money for the company and tossing the meal ticket is not a strong move.

Triple H needs to make sure that the company keeps their big man happy and find out what Cena wants to do and whom he wants compete with to continue to build the brand.

1, Who Becomes the Top Heel/anti-Hero?

10 of 10

Someone needs to replace CM Punk. While it may not have been a great thing for McMahon personally, CM Punk was the best part of RAW all year and it needs to find its proper place in the brand.

Maybe not in terms of Punk returning, but someone else to fill the void.

Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio fight the good fight as heels. Now we need someone to fill the role and void left by Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin before him.

Right now, there is no one on the RAW or Smackdown roster that can fill the role (maybe R-Truth and maybe Christian in a featured role).

Also, he needs to get Chris Jericho back into the mix because he could provide that kind of stroke.
