WWE: The Greater Wrestling Plan When CM Punk Leaves RAW
What if there is a truly bigger plan for Monday Night RAW?
I got to thinking today about all the conversations, the dialogue and the threats made by CM Punk and the way management has handled the impending absence by someone who has become the fan favorite of the company right now as the famed anti-hero. It hit me that this may be the best thought out plan in all of wrestling.
What if CM Punk truly leaves with the WWE Heavyweight Title and Vincent K. McMahon orchestrated the whole thing?

Still with me on this? Just hear me out. It is something that may make sense in a way of repackaging the brand to be better. We have complained for weeks now that the management is using older veterans to carry the program and killing the idea of younger wrestlers getting the push they need to be truly great.
Then Daniel Bryan wins Money in the Bank.
Then Alberto Del Rio wins Money in the Bank and is asked to come in and “save” McMahon’s world title, the one he swears he would never allow Punk to leave Chicago with.
He said he would fire John Cena if Punk wins and leaves the company with the title. But that won’t matter. And here is why.
One of the things Punk said he would do when he “won” the title is change the look of it, make it look more like a title that was worthy of a champion. The spinner look is old and Cena is no longer the champion. Could we see a new looking title and a tournament to determine a true champion?
It makes sense. Cena will be gone, or at least that is the storyline and will at some point return to save the day in grand style with a new look, a new gimmick and maybe a heel change.
Del Rio already used his title opportunity last night at the request of McMahon, so there is no chance for him to cash it in again. When he pleads his case to McMahon and he is told “no” Del Rio has a face change and becomes a fan favorite.
And we can then see the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntrye, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, R-Truth, and John Morrison, etc. jump into the mix for a title tournament while Punk and Cena are gone from the company. Punk may still resurface at some point and Cena has been rumored to have been needing time off for some time.
This creation does that and builds on what was the best PPV event the WWE has put together in some time.
It’s just a thought. And maybe it makes sense. Change is good in wrestling. And while this is drastic, it could very well happen.
