WWE News: Why Christian's Reign Means Stormy Future for Randy Orton
In all of the hype over the two Money in the Bank ladder matches and the WWE title match between John Cena and CM Punk, the battle between Randy Orton and Christian was one of the biggest highlights of the night.
Orton and Christian put on a great technical display of wrestling and really had the crowd going when Christian, who was down in the corner of the ring, spit in the face of the defending champion.
With several of their previous matches ending with interference or the referee’s incapabilities, Christian made a stipulation in this match that if Orton was disqualified, Christian would win the belt.

When Christian spat on the face of Orton, he flipped his lid, and he proceeded to kick Christian below the belt. That strike warrants a DQ in the wrestling world, and by rule, Christian stole the belt from Randy Orton.
After the match, Orton destroyed Christian, but at the end of the day, Christian walked away with the world heavyweight championship.
While the way he got the title was as low as you go can as a wrestler, the reign Christian will have over the heavyweight division might be longer than the fans want.
Orton has held the belt on and off for a while now, and the WWE might use this as an opportunity to infuse another member to this feud, like Sheamus, and let Christian be a heel champion for a few months.
Many people will think that Christian doesn’t deserve a long run as champion, but he has the voice on the mic and the skills to work the crowd that Orton lacks. A title run for Christian will further make Orton a face, and the feud will ensure that both men are at the top of most cards for at least six months.
The key will be to make Christian keep winning via cheating so that the fans begin to truly hate Christian. That will not only drive them to Randy Orton, but it will make them care about anyone Christian fights.
Le's just hope that the WWE doesn't just give the title right back.
