Opening Segment Part 1

2 of 12

We see a recap video of last night's WWE Championship match.

Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring with the WWE championship in his hands. Vince grabs a mic and begins to talk.

"Last night at MITB, a controversial finish happened in the main event match. Now, like I said last night, I have had enough damn controversy in the WWE. So, to keep everyone happy I vacated the WWE Championship. Now, like I told all of you people, John Cena could not win the match fair and square. Cena retained his title via a draw, I don't know where you people are from but where I am from a draw or a tie means you lost."

"But, Cena didn't exactly lose either, which brings us to tonight. I told Cena that I would decide his fate here tonight live on Monday Night Raw! But I'm not going to make you wait any longer. I am going to decide his fate right now. So John Cena, come on down to the ring."

Cena doesn't come down to the ring immediately and Vince gets angry. "Damn it Cena, I said get down to this ring! Okay Cena, have it your way. John Cena YOU'RE FIR...."

Triple H's music hits and the fans go crazy. He comes out and grabs a mic.

"Vince what are you doing? First off, you go down to the ring last night and vacate the WWE Championship. Then you decide not to fire Cena and now you are going to fire Cena. What in the hell are you doing? Are you trying to ruin this business?"

Vince is angered by this interruption and replies to Triple H.

"What the hell are you doing out here? Don't you know that I'm the Chairman of the Board, I'm Vincent Kennedy McMahon and I do what ever the hell I want. Which is why John Cena is FIRE....."

Triple H: "Believe me Vince I know everything that you are. You are a great business man, a great leader, a great owner and a great big jackass."

Vince: "How dare you call me that! You're lucky I don't fire you. Why should I keep Cena around if he can't win one damn match?"

Triple H: "You want to know why? I'll tell you why. Because I have re-signed CM Punk to a one night contract. In that contract, CM Punk gets one more match. That match will take place tonight. And Vince that match is CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship!"

Vince: "Damn it you can't do that!"

CM Punk's music hits and he gets a standing ovation. Punk comes out and grabs a mic.

Opening Segment Part 2

3 of 12

CM Punk has his mic in hand and begins to talk.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Vince McMahon. You know Vince, your son-in-law isn't as big of a doofus as I thought. You see, he knows that I deserve another chance at the WWE Championship. Which is why he resigned me to a one night contract. I get my rematch against John Cena for the WWE Championship. Vince, when I win tonight, maybe I will think about letting you sign my contract to stay here in the WWE. Then again, maybe I won't, who knows?"

Vince is furious with this situation.

"You people think this is a joke? This is a business not some circus. Besides, I already fired Cena. I did it last night backstage, this whole thing tonight was just a show. Cena isn't even here tonight and he never will be back.'

CM Punk: "You see Vince, I thought of that too. I figured you would try and ruin something potentially great in the WWE. I was right, go figure? Vince in my contract it states that if Cena is fired before our match, I automatically win the WWE Championship."

Vince: "Dammit you people make me sick! How am I supposed to get Cena back here in time for the main event? This can't happen."

Triple H: "Vince I too thought you might fire Cena before the match so I sent a private jet out to his home. He is in bound to Raw as we speak. When he gets here he is having a match with CM Punk for the WWE Championship."

Triple H leaves the ring and Punk goes backstage. McMahon is in the ring getting all red in the face and sweating over this series of events.
