WWE Money in the Bank 2011: Match-by-Match Analysis with Full Predictions
As the 2011 Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View approaches in a few hours, the excitement over the normally middle-of-the-pack PPV is almost all concentrated on departing superstar CM Punk.
After his recent shoot promo on Monday Night RAW, Punk has become a cult hero among diehard wrestling fans as the everyman who stands up to "The Man."
While the CM Punk drama is the main part of the event, there is a Money in the Bank ladder match from each brand and a World Heavyweight Championship title bout with Randy Orton defending against Christian.
Of all the recent PPVs, this Money in the Bank event is one of the most intriguing that hasn’t been a Wrestlemania in a few years.
This slideshow is a match-by-match breakdown with full predictions, so please comment and enjoy!

Big Show vs Mark Henry
1 of 5Are you ready for one of the slowest matches of the year?
Well, get ready, because the Big Show and Mark Henry are notoriously slow workers, and the fact that neither is anywhere near athletic will make this a very short match.
There may be some fairly cool moments during the match, but it will be sloppy and have no rhythm. This match will get little pop from the audience unless both men go through the announcer’s table or the ring.
Judging by his recent push, Mark Henry will win the match tonight, but the feud is just getting started.
Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder Match
2 of 5The key to any good ladder match is the proper mixture of veterans and youngsters, ground strikers and high-flyers and heels and faces.
With the eight man group that WWE put together for the Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match, Kane, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater, there is a perfect mix of everything needed.
This match won’t get the kind of ovation it deserves from the fans in the beginning, but there are enough experienced wrestlers in this match to work the crowd into a frenzy.
The most intriguing part of this match will be the newer wrestlers that are trying to make a name for themselves, including the eventual winner of the match Daniel Bryan.
Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match
3 of 5While the Smackdown Money in the Bank match will be excellent, it is the Raw ladder match that will steal the show on Sunday night.
Raw is endorsing Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Alex Riley, Evan Bourne, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, R-Truth and Jack Swagger in what is an even better blend of superstars.
The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth and Jack Swagger are excellent heels that will have the crowd into the match from the entrances. With faces like Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourn and Kofi Kingston, the fans who weren’t polarized by the other superstars will be intrigued by these stars in-ring abilities.
As for the eventual victor of this bout, it will be Alberto Del Rio, but his night won’t be over after this.
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs Christian
4 of 5When Randy Orton takes on Christian in a World Heavyweight title match at Money in the Bank on Sunday, it will mark the most important bout of the feud.
If Randy Orton successfully defends the title again, the WWE will have to move Christian on and find a new feud for Randy Orton. After so many tries, the fans are getting tired of the same stories, so the WWE is handcuffed.
The WWE could avoid all of the garbage by giving Christian the belt and continue the feud that has been quite successful.
While it should be Christian who wins, Randy Orton will defend the belt successfully, and Sheamus would be the next logical opponent to feud with Orton.
WWE Champion John Cena vs CM Punk
5 of 5This match could go down as the most important match in the recent history of the WWE, and the company can’t afford to mess this one up.
When John Cena defends the WWE Title against CM Punk, there is much more on the line than just the title belt. CM Punk has been using his contract dispute as an angle for the WWE, and it’s those shoot promos that created the hype around this PPV.
While most people know that Vince McMahon would never let Punk walk with one of his titles, there is a chance that Punk wins the match.
I think that Punk will win his match in his hometown of Chicago against Cena, and when the match is over and both men are exhausted, Raw Money in the Bank winner Alberto Del Rio will cash in his championship briefcase and take the WWE title.
Enjoy the show tonight!
