Depending on how often you take your equipment to the shop to get cleaned or repaired, you will most likely pay only a few hundred instead of a few thousand dollars.

Aside from getting your equipment serviced, the best tip to maintaining your equipment is to wash it regularly after each trip. By taking an hour after you get back to thoroughly clean your equipment, you can avoid rust and corrosion build up.
