Texas Sets OCGR Record; Florida Stays Strong at No. 2
After another week of beating a ranked opponent, the Texas Longhorns remain number one in this week's OCGR. The 86.05 rating the Longhorns received is the first-ever rating above 85.
With Florida's dominating victory over Kentucky, the Gators increase their lead in the number two slot. Penn State, USC, and Georgia round out the top five.

Penn State's jump to number three is both good and bad. It's good that they moved up after beating Ohio State. However, their next three games are not being big enough matchups to improve their SOS dramatically. They will need to root for the three SEC teams to beat each other.
Texas can still lose and remain in the top two spots. USC and Oklahoma need Penn State to trip up and the SEC to mess everything up for each other to have a shot.
After Vanderbilt's trip-up against Duke, the SEC and Big 12 are virtually equal in the conference strength ratings.
