If you haven’t been keeping up with the WWE, you may have missed some of the best new wrestlers in the sport.

While the WWE still has amazing talent, such as Triple H, Undertaker and John Cena, there is a new crop of stars bursting onto the scene.

These wrestlers are some of the most talented performers in the ring, and their skill sets lend them to big pushes and eventual title shots.

In the drama of the show, the fact that it’s still about the wrestling on the mat is lost in translation.

These five up-and-coming stars can handle the drama portion, but can they bring it hard for the crowd every time they enter the ring?

5. Sheamus

If you haven’t heard or seen any of Sheamus' matches, do yourself a favor and look them up.

Sheamus is a big man who uses his power in efficient ways, instead of being just brute force. The wrestling business was steering towards big men who had physique but weren’t mobile, and it now appears they are going in a different direction.

The perfect example of that direction would be Sheamus because he has big-man size and power, but he can do many of the things smaller competitors can do.

There is still so much for Sheamus to learn, and it is just a matter of time before he starts getting serious pushes for main events at pay-per-views.

4. Evan Bourne

He is one of the most physically gifted athletes in the WWE and also one of the most creative wrestlers I have ever seen.

That man’s name is Evan Bourne.

While his skills on the microphone leave some to be desired, his amazing athletic ability and willingness to do anything in the ring will make him a star.

Bourne lacks the size a heavyweight champion really needs, but as Rey Mysterio has shown in the past, small guys can get big pushes, especially when they have Bourne's skills and ability.

Look out for a Bourne flip coming your way soon!

3. Sin Cara

When you think of bright stars rising in the WWE, one of the brightest has to be that of Sin Cara.

Sin Cara is out of the same mold as Rey Mysterio, but he has moves and a fresh willingness to destroy himself to win that Rey-Rey has lacked recently.

If I were involved in wrestler development for the WWE, I would have Mysterio and Sin Cara working very closely together at all times. If they worked alongside each other, Mysterio could give Sin Cara all of his knowledge while Sin Cara could push Mysterio to be at his best.

Either way, Sin Cara is the real deal in the wrestling ring, and the WWE has a bright future as long as he is there.

2. Kofi Kingston

In his time in the WWE, Kofi Kingston has already made a huge impact on the sport and has won plenty of belts.

The key to the WWE’s success going forward will be to emphasize athletic abilities in the ring and not just bulk. Kingston is the perfect example of what the new WWE will be all about.

Kingston is a born athlete who can pull off moves in the ring that few other wrestlers of this generation can. He is high flying and loves to get the crowd into his matches.

All Kingston needs to do is keep going and winning smaller titles. Once he pays his dues, the WWE will reward him with a world title or two.

1. Cody Rhodes

When it comes to young talent in the WWE, a child of a former star almost never becomes a big star themselves.

In the case of Cody Rhodes, son of "The American Dream," Dusty Rhodes, I think his career could be as big as hist father's.

Cody has shown that while his mic skills aren’t as great as his dad’s were, he can more than make up for it with his unbelievable talent in the ring.

Older brother, Dustin, or "Gold Dust," never lived up to the hype that surrounded him as he wrestled in WWE, but Cody can keep the name alive and thriving. He might even bring a world championship home for daddy Rhodes.
