Broncos Rebound Off Patriots

Monday Night Lights for the 4-2 Broncos & 3-2 Patriots. Denver is smart, capable, and on the verge of becoming a stellar young team. They have all the resources and skill to battle with the heavy weights of the NFL. The keys to their success lie in their ability to keep their composure and maintain their discipline. Unfortunately, little mistakes can have significant ramifications - like we saw last week.

The Broncos are poised for a rebound though! The Patriots have been inconsistent since the fall of Brady. The Broncos have just shot themselves in the foot from time to time. As long as Denver executes like the young scrappy team they are capable of being, then Mike Shanahan will come away with a victory.

Strategy

Denver's Jay Cutler might jump into a smooth rhythm Monday with the return of wide receiver Eddie Royal, and the always consistent Brandon Marshall. Once Marshall is 'on fire' he cannot be put out. These two player can potentially dismantle the NE secondary.

New England's Matt Cassel has stepped up and out performed many critics. Therefore, the game will rest upon the shoulders of the defense again. Denver must make a stand early in the game to send a message. If the Broncos shut down the running game and prevent short passes, then Cassel will have to throw down field. At which point, players like Champ Bailey and Dre Bly will shine.

Score

Denver will come out of the gates bringing the pain. New England won't know what hit 'em.

Broncos 24, Patriots 14
