The 26 year old made $4.5 million last year. The Twins have been trying to get him to sign a multi-year deal, and will still continue to pursue the possibility of locking up Morneau for around five years.

Mark Teixeira, 1B, Atlanta Braves

Signed a one-year, $12.5 million deal

He made $9 million in 2007. Like the Twins, the Braves will continue to try working on a multi-year deal. Speculation is that Teixeira could earn as much as $20 million every year on the free agent market. Teixeira's deal also includes up to $315,000 in incentives.

Carlos Pena, 1B, Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Signed a three-year, $24.125 million deal

"[The deal is] awesome...It's extremely exciting. I get to be in a place I absolutely love, around people that I love and people that I know care about me. It couldn't be any better. I'm pumped. We're celebrating.''

Matt Holliday, 1B, Colorado Rockies

Signed a two-year, $23 million deal

The Rockies will continue to attempt to lock him up to a long-term deal. Rockies GM Dan O'Dowd said, "This is the first step in a process we hope will lead to a long-term relationship with him..."

Scott Downs, RP, Toronto Blue Jays

Signed a three-year, $10 million deal

Downs had a great year last year, with a 2.17 ERA in 81 relief appearances.

Miguel Cabrera, 3B, Detroit Tigers

Signed a one-year, $11.3 million deal

The Tigers hope to keep him with a long-term deal. He also has $75,000 in incentives.
