Maple Leafs Woes: The Five Worst Leafs in '07-'08

Boy, it's so easy to be a "glass half empty" kind of guy isn't it? 

Well, at least it is if you’re a Maple Leafs fan.

Maybe it comes with the territory when you go 40 years without glory, or maybe it's the way the mind works when it's 4-0 after the end of every first period.

 In any case, here are the five worst performing Leafs to date...from bad to just plain awful.

5.  Bryan McCabe

The only reason McCabe is not further down the list is because he has sat half the year; having said that, he did score a big goal in Buffalo.

4.  Darcy Tucker

Ahhh it pains me to say this.  But where has Tucker gone?  I mean, it's not like I expected him to post another 25 goals this year (that cross-crease pass works once in a blue moon), but he is a ghost out there.  All of this after he signed the big contract last year...I didn't think he was that kind of guy.

3.  Pavel Kubina

The fact that this guy isn't number one on the list speaks volume about the others mentioned here.  Kubina is quite possibly the worst free agent signing in Leaf’s history.  He's the reason you’re paying $14 for a beer at the ACC.

2.  Kyle Wellwood

Wellwood skates the ice like he's playing shinny.  Guess how many penalty minutes he has in the last 80 NHL games?  Zero.  Watching this guy play makes Lady Bing roll over in her grave.
