Coachella's rising superstar Randy Caballero (9-0, 5 KO) will be back in action this Friday against Francis Ruiz (9-4, 4 KO) at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA. The fight will be televised on Telefutura.

Randy Caballero, 20, is a young talented prospect with great stamina and foot-work. Although Caballero turned pro last year; he already has nine victories with five explosive knockouts. They call him El Matador for a reason: he is a fearless  fighter who is willing to take down any bull in the ring. Caballero’s sharp combinations are one of the few reasons why some boxers have seen more stars than most astronomers.

Caballero is coming off an exciting second-round Knockout victory over Puerto Rico's Felix Perez. While Francis Ruiz lost his last battle against Yan Barthelemy by unanimous decision. Although Ruiz has lost his last two fights, you shouldn't doubt this Dominican warrior. Francis Ruiz is as hungry as any prospect and will come prepared Friday night.

However, Ruiz commits several mistakes when competing in the squared-circle. His punches are too wide and he offers his chin way too much. If Randy Caballero throws combinations with sharp upper-cuts, Ruiz could face many problems and won't be able to get out of the powerful storm of punches.

Ruiz also has poor head and body movement. If Francis wants to give Caballero a terrific fight, he will need to improve his jab, foot-work and timing. However, Francis Ruiz has a tremendous heart and never gives up. He is a true warrior and could be a threat to any fighter that doesn't come prepared.

If Randy Caballero wants to pull off a successful victory, he will need to use his jab to create distance and mess up Ruiz's rhythm. Since Ruiz is the type of fighter that likes to fight inside and work the body. If Randy uses the ring and his sharp combinations, he could possibly pull of the victory by TKO in the later rounds.

Speed and fundamentals are one of many advantages Randy will have against Francis Ruiz.

May 6 should be a great night for boxing. Former world champion Fernando Vargas will be present at the fights and is hosting a pre-fight poolside party sponsored by Cerveza Tecate from 4:00-6:00 PM which will be open to the public.
