With his constant appearances on both Raw and SmackDown, and his impressive Royal Rumble victory in January, it has been apparent for quite some time now that Alberto Del Rio is the fastest rising star in the WWE.
It was only a matter of time before he was moved to the flagship show on a permanent basis, but one has to question the decision to draft him to Raw the week before he was set to compete in a Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship with Christian.
The WWE does not want two World Champions on the same show and due to the double drafting of Cena, there is no way that the WWE title is headed to SmackDown.
Vince has always considered the World Heavyweight Championship to be the secondary title due to its affiliation with WCW. It has been described as a "glorified Intercontinental Championship."
Christian has waited so long to compete in the main event and after the punishment he has put his body through for the company, he deserves the chance to be world champion.
There are also an abundance of heels on SmackDown and there are many possible feuds for Christian if he does become champion.
Del Rio, on the other hand, will not take the World Title to SmackDown unless, as rumored, there is a unification match in the pipeline.
There has been talk for some time now of returning to one undisputed world championship and this could lead to a feud between Cena and Del Rio for that honor.
Cena and Del Rio has got to happen at some stage and an Undisputed Championship match could be scheduled for Summerslam.
This is a long shot, as it is more likely that a match like that would be saved for WrestleMania, but it is the only way I can see Del Rio winning the title on Sunday.
