1) An Alabama loss- Is any BCS team going to run the table?
2) Disciplined Refs- I guess this really never happens no matter how bad they are.

"5) Georgia Tech at Clemson-When all else in the world seems bad, we can still watch Clemson lose and realize some things in the world are right."
So incredibly correct.

At this age I've really come to appreciate the little things.

True.. like the 2003 Peach Bowl!

Fact: If a Clemson fan talks trash to you, you only have to respond with two words and they will crawl back into their hole.
Tommy Bowden.

Great read.
This was actually the one week that I wouldn't have been surprised to See Tech outside of your Top 10.

Not too many undefeated teams left...

Mitch good read.... now let me counter point as they say.
Top 10 Teams:
GET Tulsa out of there
You need to put another SEC team in there. If not SEC fans will have you committed.
Top Teams that Stink:
Arkansas, Auburn, Miss. State, Miami, Tennessee, NC State, Michigan and Mitch... Where is Texas A&M? They are simply horrid this year? 2-4 with a 6 point win over New Mexico and a 4 point win over Army. PLEASE
Top Teams that dont stink:
Where is Vandy?????
Top you Root For:
Croom???? why?? Rooting for him is like rooting for FSU or Miami when they play Florida. I do even though i know what the outcome is going to be.
Anyone playing Clemson...lol... well Mitch we will not discuss Miami's fantastic record since entering the ACC. you seem to get a tad emotional when we do this
Jim Grobe... you have to be joking. Watch closely this year when Miami plays them. For years other coaches have complained against the techniuqe he uses that injures players on the line. Word of warning... have your blood presure medication nearby when the Canes play them.
Rich Rod may not survie..............his hole is deep and his defining moment is the Pitt game last year. If all the other schools the Big 10 were not doing as well, it would be easier.
Turbeville..........he is on his way out! Alabama is doing too well and he backed himslef into a corner by firing his OC and losing to Arkansas. If you are serious about Miami football, get rid of the joke you have and get his guy............if Clemson or Tennessee do not grab him first.
10 Things you are not Rooting for:
BCS is a joke, agreed
Why does everyone dislike Nick Saben
10 Surprise Losers:
Michigan.... does anyone have a clue about this one... Toleod is HORRIBLE. they were 1-4 entering the game.
Clemson and Wisconsin should not have surprised you. Clemson was a road dog on Thursday. Wisconsin had the two emotional losses previous.
10 Things that will not surprise you:
I tend to disagree with you about Alabama. They are good and the SEC is down this year. the Big 10 and Big 12 are better conferences.
Tommy Bowden, according to some sources, will be dismissed at the end of the season..... Certain names keep popping up and the BOT have met twice since the loss to Maryland to discuss this.
Disiplined refs........perhaps...But can someone please tell me how the 3rd down "catch" late in the UNC/ND game was ruled incomplete?????
10 Games of the Week:
If BYU wins this one.....................they could eaisly run the table
LSU and South Carolina... A bad offense is South Carolina depends on athletic players to move the ball. Do you thin this will work???
Vandy at Georiga.............Two over-rated teams
Ole Miss at Alabama.......... give 15 LOL.........give 30
Ga Tech at Clemson........your bias aside... why is Clemson favored????? Clemson has no offense, starting a quarterback for the first time and the coach is on his way out. CAN YOU SAY SUCKER BET?
Always a good read Mitch.............and despite my "jabby" comments... do not stop the top 10 list.
BTW.............how stupid does Michigan look now?
Thanks Jay,
Believe it or not Clemson was favored when they kicked off Thursday.
Everyone hates Saban because he is a sleazeball where winning means more than anything except money. Besides having no loyalty to any team or fan base he doesn't have a loyalty to his players or their parents. 10 offseason arrests this year for the Tide including a player selling drugs to federal agents, I don't see why they didn't get the death penalty really.
I always rank undefeated teams ahead of 1 loss teams especially at this point in the season.
It really is a light slate this week, see if you can find 10 games without looking at the lines..
The teams you mentioned as stinking are just playing bad, most of them have some talent or are a work in progress like Miami who has played the most freshman of anyone this year (fsu is second), the teams I listed are horrible.
Thanks for the comments.

You just managed to basically show exactly what I have been saying all season. You have a bias against Bama, primarily because of Nick Saban. It could be worse, though, it could have still been over the 1992 Sugar Bowl. Besides the shots at Saban, you have them at #3 when they are a concensus #2 team everywhere you look, if not #1. Also, it seems like no undefeated teams from BCS conferences wouldnt suprise you, not an Alabama loss.
And what does it matter if winning means more than anything else. Do you not realize where he is coaching at now? There are fewer things in Alabama that matter more than winning, just ask Tubby right now.
And you know what, your right. They should have given us the death penalty.
from about 1 month ago
Nic, wait until he pulls a sleazy move on you guys...your just anpther pawn in his game and don't think for a second Alabama and it's fans are anything more than that.

Just remember, in order for Ohio State to make it to the Championship, they will have to beat MSU, and then, drumroll please....the deadly.....the powerful....the unstoppable...PENN STATE UNIVERSITY!
Also, Daryll Clark along with DWill, Deon Butler, and Jordan Norwood all played impressively, but don't forget the PSU defense. As a whole, they stopped the run and forced Evridge to throw and make mistakes, which is a reason why PSU completely dominated this game. Also, an individual on the defense that could stand out would be Aaron Maybin. He leads the nation is sacks and is by far the best pass rusher in the NCAA. In the game against Wisconsin, he had a few tackles and tackles for loss, a couple of sacks, and I believe he forced a fumble. He also deflected a couple of balls that were nearly intercepted. HE IS A BEAST!!!

if you don't think usc is a top 10 team you have never watched college football....or are just another south/east homer... oklahoma st is 4th?? and no usc. come on dude quit hating lol.... but other than that, this was a really enjoyable article. keep it up
from about 1 month ago
Maybe they are maybe they aren't, it's way too early for it to matter so I just have all of the undefeateds and then the 1 loss team that lost to the best team, USC lost to Oregon State so every Beaver win helps their cause in my book. Most people haven't agreed with my rankings since week1, that's OK. On some I've been right, some wrong. It's a long season, if the Trojans deserve to be there they will be. No one ever won a National Title in week 7, And the great teams don't care about anything but hoisting the trophy.
Thanks for the comments and Great profile pic...

Question how has Alabama not proven anything. Last time I checked they HAMMERED Georgia at Georgia not an easy feat. As for Penn State there biggest win so far has been at a relativly mediocre Wisconsin.
from about 1 month ago
I didn't say they haven't proven anything, I have them in my top 5 and not one team with a loss is behind them. I think they're a very good team, not sold that they are championship material.
Thanks for the comment.
On a side note I read your coaches on the hot seat article from a month ago and how crazy is college football? 3 of those 5 righted the ship, I was probably right with you at the time (of course including Tommy though and probably Ralph Friedgen and Al Groh)...always fun to look back, you may need to write an update and where you were right and wrong, always one of my favorite topics.

Wisconsin would KILL Georgia............
SEC fans, hold on, get your medication....................YOU ARE NOT THE BEST CONFERENCE THIS YEAR... OK
you are easily behind the BIG 12 and BIG 10 Now without question, the SEC was the best in 2007 adn 2006........
example.............. Wofford had more yards of total offense against South Carolina than Georgia... WOFFORD!
example.............. Vandy............Vandy..............is leading your east..... GEEZ!
need more? YOU have Auburn, Arkansas and Miss. State......................
