Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley: Pac-Man's 10 Best Knockouts (With Video)
Manny Pacquiao doesn't knock people out like he used to but he can still deliver a big knock out punch. This list will take you back to the days when he was still a 112 pound whirlwind, right hand bomber, that wasn't know to American fans.
It will also take you to the top of his super stardom and a knockout that millions of people saw. Some of the knockouts are prettier then others. Some are just downright brutal, but a pretty knockout doesn't mean it is ranked highly.
I made a KO scale for this and three things go into the scale. How vicious it was, who it was against, and did he win a title. Some of the pretty ones fall short because well anyway can knockout a bum, but that's enough yammering lets get to some knockouts!

#10: Chatchai Sasakul (5:45 into Video for Knockout)
1 of 10KO Scale: 8. That was a brutal one punch knockout.
We are going all the way back to 1998 for our first knockout. This was a time before most of you knew who Pacquiao was, and honestly most fans around the world didn't know him.
This was his first chance to win a world title and he did so by ending the fight in round 8. With the knockout win he earned the WBC flyweight title.

#9: Gabriel Mira (Knockdowns Start Around 7:30)
2 of 10KO scale: 7. Not a one punch knockout but it was devastating none the less.
In the very first defense of his WBC flyweight title he fought Gabriel Mira. Mira wasn't a great fighter or anything as he was just 19-7-1 coming in, but Pacquiao put him away with some big shots in fourth round.
This would be the last defense for Pacquiao as he would lost- by knockout- to Medogen Singsurat in his next fight.

#8: Emmanuel Lucero (KO at 3:30)
3 of 10KO scale: 9. And boom goes the dynamite. When you can make a guy walk goofy you dropped the hammer.
Pacquiao was defending his IBF super bantamweight title for the fifth time and he was going to make sure he took it home with him. As far as just pure knockouts go this is a pretty good one. It falls to number eight because the opponent is so-so.

#7: Jorge Solis (Knockdowns Start at 5:50)
4 of 10KO Scale: 6. Not anything to flashy but a big punch that put down a durable veteran.
Pacquiao was on the cusp of stardom at this point and was looking to make a statement. He did just that against the then undefeated Jorge Solis when he took him out in round 8.
This would place higher but Solis got up and showed how tough he really is.

#6: Jorege Eliecer Julio
5 of 10KO Scale: 4. The knockout itself wasn't awe inspiring but the knockdowns before it were nice.
This was the second defense of his IBF super bantamweight title and it didn't last long. Just two rounds into his fight with Jorge Eliecer Julio Pacquiao turned his lights off.
This one sits a little higher even though the knockout wasn't great because Julio was a tough, durable guy who held a world title before.

#5: Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
6 of 10KO scale: 7. That was a nice shot that put Ledwaba out.
Lehlohonolo Ledwaba came into the fight 33-1-1 and had held the IBF super bantamweight title for two years. Pacquiao was making his American debut and wanted to make it a title winning effort.
He did just that when he knocked out Ledwaba in the sixth round. It was the first time a lot of American fight fans got to see him, and they haven't looked away since.

#4: David Diaz
7 of 10KO scale: 9. When you drop someone on their face, they are out.
This was the first time, but not the last time, that we had to ask "Is Pacquiao just to small?" He answered the question resoundingly by pounding on Diaz for nine rounds before delivering a beautiful knockout.
He also took the WBC lightweight title home with him that night.

#3: Ricky Hatton
8 of 10KO scale: 10. I don't think I need to tell you why.
Hatton had only lost once in his career and it was to Floyd Mayweather. He was TKO'ed in that fight but no one and I mean no one saw a knockout this brutal coming.
Pacquiao dominated the entire two rounds and left Hatton wondering if he ever wanted to fight again. The answer to that so far is no.

#2: Marco Antonio Barrera I
9 of 10KO scale: 4. Yeah this is a stoppage and not a knockout but I'll tell you why it is this high.
I broke my own rule here by putting this one on here because he stopped him but didn't knock him out. It gets the number two ranking because it launched the Pacquiao juggernaut and he is still the only man to stop Barrera.
That is an accomplishment when you realized Barrera has been in 75 fights and lost seven times.

#1: Erik Morales III
10 of 10KO scale: 7. This is much like the MAB knockout. Morales just doesn't get knocked out.
Pacquiao was 1-1 against Morales at this point and was looking to get out of their rivalry with a 2-1 advantage. Morales had been knocked out once before and Pacquiao was the one who did it.
Morales has fought 58 times lost seven of them and has been knocked out only twice. The only man to knock him out is Manny Pacquiao.
