WrestleMania 27: How The Miz and John Cena's Feud Will End
The WWE Championship bout between The Miz and John Cena is one of the toughest WrestleMania matches to call in recent memory. With John Cena and The Rock caught up in a war of words over the past month, The Miz has been jettisoned into the background and forced to blindside Cena on a weekly basis in order to remind people he is the champion defending the title on Sunday night.
It would seem like the creative team is setting up for Cena to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania and parlay it into a possible feud with The Rock.

It won't turn out that way, however, because The Miz has a lot more to lose than John Cena has to gain in the main event.
Think about the possible storylines for The Miz if he loses the WWE Championship, and therefore the title of “most must-see champion in WWE history.” I can't think of a single one that would carry any weight.
People have suggested a renewed conflict with Randy Orton, but I think that matchup has already run its course. Another idea tossed around would include CM Punk, free from The Nexus, as a build up toward a first contender match to face Cena. I don't think that plan would hold water, either.
There just isn't a strong enough plan available to the creative team right now that would allow The Miz to remain relevant without the belt.
The Miz also provides something to the WWE which it is always desperately seeking—publicity.
Since his championship reign began, The Miz has been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Conan.
If he isn't the champion, these opportunities don't arise and although the WWE has seen a spike in interest thanks to The Rock, Stone Cold, Trish Stratus and yes, even Snooki, I don't think they are willing to let The Miz's reign end just yet.
There are two ways I see this storyline ending: The Miz wins at WrestleMania or The Miz wins the title back the following night on RAW, either way with help from The Rock.
The Rock has been confirmed to be at RAW the night after WrestleMania, but there have been no guarantees made beyond that. As much as most of us would love to see Rocky hang around for awhile, his movie career will interfere. He is already scheduled to begin shooting a new action film called Snitch in June, so his feud with Cena has to end soon.
I think the most likely scenario for The Miz to remain champion is via the rematch clause on RAW. This would allow Cena to walk away from WrestleMania as a hero, but would also allow for the WWE to put one of its most marketable talents, The Miz, back on top quickly.
After Cena finishes off The Miz with the Attitude Adjustment, Alex Riley, The Rock and—after recovering—The Miz will all start working over Cena, probably forcing him to have a major knee “injury.”
The next night on RAW will start with The Miz standing in the ring and announcing that he would like to invoke his rematch clause. There will be a stipulation that Alex Riley cannot be ringside for the match.
The match will start with The Miz taking several shots to the injury Cena suffered the previous evening followed by the inevitable Cena false comeback. As Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment, however, his knee will give out, giving The Miz the momentum and eventually the victory. The Miz and Riley, who came to the ring to celebrate, will continue the assault on Cena.
Enter The Rock, who easily disposes of Riley and after a brief confrontation with The Miz, The Miz will grab the belt and retreat backstage. The Rock will then get in that familiar Rock Bottom stance as Cena staggers to his feet.
After dropping Cena with the Rock Bottom and hitting the People's Elbow, the show will end with The Rock's music playing and the People's Champ standing alone in the ring. With all the disputes resolved, Rocky can head back to Hollywood while still leaving the door open for a future return.
Nobody is quite sure how the main event will end at WrestleMania but I think all wrestling fans will agree, if Snooki's first WWE match is also her last, it will be a successful night in Atlanta.
