UFC Evans vs Jones: Jackson All About

After Jon Jones' title victory at UFC 128, Greg Jackson himself gave an interview for MMA Fighting.  AOL.com's Ariel Helwani asked Jackson about both of his students (Jones and Rashad Evans) facing off after the bout and the upcoming matchup between the two during this post-fight interview.

"I couldn't even be in the cage ... I am not going to [be in the] corner for anybody in that fight. the coaches will have to figure that out on their own."

Jackson went on to say that he loves both Rashad Evans and Jon Jones and hopes that after their fight they can be one big happy family again.

"For me it's all about the love and I won't have anything to do with the two of them fighting "

When informed by Helwani that Rashad Evans stated quite boldy and confidently multiple times that he is "done with Jackson's [camp]," Greg Jackson said he hoped it was just emotion talking.

"I hope that won't be the case 'cause we love him to death and I love him to death"

Ariel Helwani then asked if Greg Jackson had been told this by Evans yet.

"No, this is the first time I am hearing this."

Oddly enough on March 15th during a pre-UFC 128 interview with Helwani also for MMAFighting.com, Dana White had a few things to say about the Jon "Bones" Jones-Rashad "Suga" Evans situation.

Will the Jon Jones vs Rashad Evans bout happen in 2011?

In it, Dana White deduces that all the drama surrounding the "will they fight, won't they fight" scenarios can be only be coming from one source, the Greg Jackson camp itself.

" Whether it's Greg Jackson's idea or [someone else's in the camp], why would they want these guys to fight each other? If they do, one guy [implying either Jones or Evans] is going to leave the camp and they [the Jackson MMA camp]make less money on that deal ... that's bad for business"
