After another spanking from the boys, Lisa can't sit down. Her tush hurts. Her pride has been bruised. Dammit, she's ticked!

Ryan predicted the Alabama upset as well as an ND win. He also got the tie-breaker on the Penn State game (14 point spread, PSU won by 14) with a total of 6/10, while Lise spanked out a 2/10. Excellent job Ryan! Now boys, buy him a drink!

Updated tallies: Boys 22/40, Lise 10/40. The humanity of it all.

Utah -11.5 vs Oregon State

Lisa: Oregon State. I'm going with the Beavers to run on Utah and chew up the clock so Utah won't have a lot of time to score.
Mitch: Utah-Who doesn't do a Joe Pesci imitation when talking about the Utes?

Ole Miss -2.5 vs South Carolina

Lisa: South Carolina. I refuse to believe a Spurrier team will lose to another SEC team this early in the season. Ole Miss is hungover after Gators win.
Mitch: Ole Miss-Houston Nutt has the Rebels scoring points, Spurrier has the Cocks not scoring points; pretty simple math.

Texas Tech -7.5 @ Kansas State

Lisa: Texas Tech. K State is improved this year, but I still think Tech will put up a lot of points.
Mitch: Kansas State-I don't hold grudges,...... except against teams that schedule U Mass. Welcome to the Josh Freeman show.

Miami -2.5 @ Florida State
Lisa: Florida State. I'm not impressed with either of these teams, so I'm taking the home team to win it in a FG, hopefully not wide right.
Mitch: Miami. Born and raised in Dade county. We're not a Dream Team, we're your worst nightmare. C-A-N-E-S!!

Auburn -4 @ Vandy
Lisa: Vandy. I'm a believer in Vandy. I am not a believer in Auburn's offense.
Mitch: Vandy. Make that 5 home teams in a row for Miami Mitch.

    Good picks, maybe. That is the thing about predictions.

    A quick factoid about Vanderbilt. They are last in the conference in both offense and defense. And 112th in the nation in offense. Last I checked Auburn was 11th in total defense.

      I am happy Vandy is getting props...I listened to the Bobbie Johnson interview on ESPN today, and he is a class act all the way. Gameday will be there for the game this Saturday, and if that isn't a huge exclamation point on the program, I don't know what is. Great vibes, for sure!

      Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, will you never learn??? Remember saying LSU would "smoke" Auburn??? LSU scored with one minute left to pull that one out, hardly a "smoke" job. Now you're picking Vandy. The same Vandy who is LAST in the SEC in both total offense AND total defense. So far, it's been all smoke & mirrors for the Commodores. Reality sets in Saturday afternoon. You got to have the faith, girl!!

      Hey Tim,

      I had Auburn laying the points last week against Tennessee and I'm still sick to my stomach. Remember one of Auburn's scores came on a return. The announcer literally said he hoped Chris Todd was hurt so it would explain how awful his arm is. I can't root for nor count on that anymore.

    good point, but Vandy has been very consistent, Aubie has not. I don't trust Aubie's O. Just like I said South Carolina was a pretender when they were ranked. That proved true.

      Congrats on the fast start, for those keeping score at home I have a winning record against the spread for the season but am like 2-6 in the Thursday night games....last week I had USC & Tulane and I had Rutgers the week before that...it's far from over but nice start :)

    Lisa, don't know you, but love your spunk. But I have to tell you, you said you didn't like the Buffs because of the way they played Nebraska ~ that's later this year, I think you meant Florida State. The Buffs were not over looking the game as a team, but you could tell they were not all there either when they needed to be. Cody Hawkins has cooled off significantly, so much so I think he is a couple more bad games away from being replaced. Now having said that, I think Cody has as big a heart to play the game as you can ask for so I do think he'll bounce back, but Texas is tough. Maybe I can get a ticket, my bro is going. He roots for the horns though, I'm a Buff to the core. Peace.

      My bad...I meant Florida State...thanks for clarifying.

      I like Hawkins...I was ticked last week because I picked the Buffs and they disappointed me. My husband has played against Colorado in football and so of course, like a good wife, I root for them. (LOL)

    cody hawkins = least efficient QB in the big 12. add to that the buffs best tackle getting hurt and you have orakpo and melton making a cody hawkins sandwich all day long. does it count as child abuse if he doesn't get pulled after getting his bell rung over and over?

    other battles of note:
    can the colorado d line keep up with ut's physicality and depth? hypolite is speedy but he will can simply be double teamed. who is going to step up?
    1st year starter CBs against colt mccoy and two great possession receivers who have had a couple of the longest college careers i can remember.
    super recruit Darrell Scott and Rod "the one who is actually playing well" Stewart against the number 2 rush defense in the nation.

    I think Ohio State has a very good chance at beating Wisconsin by getting flawless play out of the offense and defense. We can't have the field goals because that means you aren't getting the production you want and definitely need in games like tomorrow's. One of the biggest mistakes the coaching staff can make is putting Boeckman in. I hope they think smart and don't put him in. Let's face it, he can't produce. Pryor's amazing while Boeckman is mediocre. Can an upset be brewing tomorrow with USC playing Oregon??? Who knows, but USC better play like they know how to or else they will be in some trouble... Same goes with Ohio State, it wouldn't be an upset if Wisconsin won, but there would be quite a few of disappointed Ohio State fans if they were to lose tomorrow night....
