WWE vs. TNA

I wanted to make an article that everyone would want to read, so here goes. If you had WWE vs. TNA in a 7 on 7 match with the very best from each brand, who would you pick and who would win?

Let's start with this. Is TNA becoming a subsidiary of WWE. Look at the top talent. Booker T (arguable still WCW), Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, and now Mick Foley. Then they wanted to bring in Brock Lesner and Bobby Lashley. I mean why don't you just merge the companies? lol. But I digress. In my mind, I keep seeing a Wrestling "Doomsday" scenario where WWE eventually purchases TNA. But I think that is because TNA is on Spike TV. If they got on a national network like say, ION TV (HD and not a big network yet who wouldn't mind the ratings) or something like that, then I would say TNA has the potential to be a independent powerhouse. As of now, I still don't believe totally in TNA. Side note, Jarrett is 12 time champ! I mean, he's good, he's not that good. Damn.

So, 7 on 7. Who would you go with? Could this potentially happen? Could it make money and make superstars? The answer to the last 3 questions are most certainly yes. Here is the potential scenario. WWE has a PPV. WWE and TNA agree behind the scenes to do a feud. No long-term partnerships or anything like that. Just split PPV money and setup insurance repercussions in case anything happens. So, during a PPV, out of nowhere comes like AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Cage, Sting, and Samoa Joe with leader Jeff Jarrett. They just barge the locker room and stomp everyone with baseball bats and chains.  So in two weeks later in TNA Impact, WWE invadesr. They decide not to do it at a PPV because that would be to far off and if they did it on TNA, then the "whole world" would see it live. So out from the crowd comes Triple H, Cena, Batista, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho and x-factor Shelton B. Note: By the time this happens, I would expect Shelton has become a Main Eventer. Then say at like Wrestlemania/TNA Invasion PPV, they have the match of all time.

OK, #1. This would be like, "crap my pants awesome". #2 This would put Shelton B. at potential Hall of Fame level and help build WWE for the future. #3 This would put TNA at never before seen heights of ratings, star power and just overall profits from every direction.

Who would win? WWE clearly has more talent. But to setup a potential future match and to push TNA to a level like WCW, TNA needs to win this. When wrestling was at its highest, you had WCW and WWE going head to head. Creative's focus had to be at an all time high. WWE has now been trying to get out of its "funk" created by lack of competition which created TV complacency. This would help all sides out, WWE, TNA, and the fans. What do you think? Who would you have in this match? Who would win? Is it a good idea?
