WWE/TNA Wrestler Rankings. Who's the Top Pound for Pound Wrestler in the World?

1 of 12

There’s one argument in everybody always has in boxing, MMA, and other combat sports and that argument is who is the top ten pound for pound.

So in this piece I will give my top ten professional wrestlers pound for pound among WWE and TNA.

I’ve graded each wrestler in what I feel are the four major categories in pro wrestling.

    1. Wrestling
    2. Mic skills
    3. Natural charisma
    4. Crowd reaction

At the end of the grades, I averaged them up and came up with a pound-for-pound list of the best in the business. Feel free to debate.

10. Dolph Ziggler

2 of 12

Coming in at 10 and on the cusp of stardom is Dolph Ziggler. He’s already one of the best workers in WWE and at 32 years old, he’s only getting better.

I feel like his weakness is his mic skills. Usually, when he’s handed a mic, he’s only putting over Vickie Guerrero as his manager, and I feel like that hurts his overall score.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic Skills- 85

    Charisma- 93

    Crowd reaction- 90

    Average- 92

9. Jeff Hardy

3 of 12

The former “Anti-Christ of Professional Wrestling” comes in at No. 9. Definitely lives up to the name of “The Charismatic Enigma” and gets some of the best crowd reactions in the business.

    Wrestling- 85

    Mic skills- 85

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average- 92.50

8. John Cena

4 of 12

As we all know, Cena is the face of the WWE. Gets pops from the crowd, is charismatic and likable, and can have a solid wrestling match.

However, I think his mic skills hold him back. Usually he’s “overly PG” or he can go into “preacher mode” and get overly serious.

    Wrestling- 89

    Mic Skills- 89

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average- 94.5

7. AJ Styles

5 of 12

A personal favorite of mine, I was hoping he would end up higher on the list, but after looking at the guys who ended up in front of him, he’s definitely deserving of the good company.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic skills- 88

    Charisma- 95

    Crowd reaction- 96

    Average- 94.75

6. Daniel Bryan

6 of 12

At only 30 years old, Bryan is arguably the best wrestler in WWE.

He has a great deal of competition, but he’s definitely right up at the top. His current heel turn is golden and he's truly over with the crowd.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic skills- 88

    Charisma- 98

    Crowd reaction- 98

    Average- 96

5. The Rock

The Great One. Even with a lost step in the ring, he is the ultimate entertainer.

    Wrestling- 90

    Mic skills- 100

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average- 97.5

4. Randy Orton

8 of 12

He has the hottest move in the business and is very much in tune with his character.

The only weakness is that his mic skills really don’t fit him as a face, but they suit him just fine as the diabolical heel he once was.

    Wrestling- 98

    Mic skills- 95

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average- 98.25

3. Kurt Angle

9 of 12

The Olympic gold medalist is arguably the hardest worker in the biz and deserves this placement. He’s great at absolutely everything.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic skills- 95

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average- 98.75

2. Chris Jericho

10 of 12

Definitely one of the best in the world at what he does. Top notch in the ring and on the mic without many holes at all in his game.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic skills- 100

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 98

    Average- 99.5

1. CM Punk

11 of 12

Was there any doubt? Punk is the best pound-for-pound in any wrestling promotion.

He can talk with the best of them, can wrestle with the best of them, and can get over with the crowd as a face or a cult-leading heel.

CM Punk is the best pound for pound wrestler/entertainer in the world.

    Wrestling- 100

    Mic skills- 100

    Charisma- 100

    Crowd reaction- 100

    Average= 100
