This past Monday night on Raw, Michael Cole did what the World Wrestling Entertainment fans had been hoping for him to do. He agreed to a match with Jerry "The King" Lawler.

However, Cole being the cowardly heel he is, agreed on two conditions. Condition one was that his trainer be allowed to stay in his corner. Naturally, I thought this would be Miz and was surprised when Jack Swagger made his way to the ring.

His second condition was that he could choose the special guest referee. After the surprise of Swagger, I assumed once again that he would bring Miz to the ring.

Instead, he chose to leave it at that until Friday Night Smackdown.

On Smackdown, with Swagger by his side he made his announcement. He said the referee would be, "awesome, flamboyant and one of the all-time greats in WWE." Unfortunately he also said he wouldn't announce who it would be until Monday Night Raw.

So I have a few slides here speculating who it could possibly be.

The Miz

Being a huge fan of Miz and one of his cronies who has helped him win matches since his title win back in November, he was thought to be the first choice to be Cole’s trainer.

As we all know, Miz likes to constantly remind us he is awesome and Cole talks about him like he is one of the all-time greats.

With Cole looking for as much of an advantage as possible, Miz is unlikely to be a fair referee.

But with Miz in the main event defending his title, would he risk it all refereeing a match where he could possibly get beaten up by an annoyed Lawler?

Goldust

When Cole mentioned flamboyant, Goldust was one of the first names to come to my mind.

I imagine when a lot of people hear his name they think of his style and how he likes to make a show of things.

Coming to the ring in a gold outfit and with gold makeup, he would sometimes have gowns with feathers at the shoulders and a boa around his neck. Flamboyance was his niche.

But would Cole refer to him as awesome and one of the all-time greats and think highly enough of him to risk the victory?

Jimmy Hart

The Mouth Of The South is also someone known for his flamboyant dress sense, often wearing multi-coloured outfits to the ring.

He would always carry a microphone around to bark instructions and distract opponents.

He is also one of the greatest managers in WWE history and has managed a whole host of superstars.

A major thing going against him being the referee for Cole is that it was Lawler himself who brought him into wrestling and he would later on become his manager.

Jimmy Hart recently left Total Nonstop Action and as posted by Hulk Hogan on twitter, was coming to WWE to be Lawler’s manager once more.

He can definitely be described as flamboyant, awesome and an all-time great so he ticks all the boxes Cole gave us. But the one major thing against him is his connection to Lawler.

Vickie Guerrero

Having joined WWE in the aftermath of her husband Eddie’s tragic death, Vickie became a key figure on Smackdown and was involved in some major storylines.

On Smackdown a week ago she was fired after losing a match against Edge and Kelly Kelly and her firing is most likely kayfabe.

We all know that she is one of Cole’s favourites in WWE as he constantly talks about how hot she is and how great she is.

With many wondering how and when she will come back into WWE, WrestleMania would be the perfect time and she would bring even more heat when helping Cole win. She has already been a referee lately in the Edge and Ziggler match.

Cole would definitely describe her as awesome and one of the greats. She could also be described as flamboyant to an extent.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

With the supposed WrestleMania card being leaked, it means the supposed referee has been leaked as well. The person is none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin.

We all know he is going to be a trainer on Tough Enough and as advertised on Raw this past week, he is going to be making an appearance.

Would his appearance be to advertise Tough Enough and give us another legend to welcome back, or would it be to announce himself as the referee.

Austin has always been a fan favourite, be it as a face or a heel and many would welcome him back into the fold with open arms.

But would he really come as Cole’s referee considering he will probably want someone on his side. If Austin were to be referee then he would be impartial and down the middle.

He is without a doubt awesome and one of the all-time greats. You can even say he is flamboyant, but not in the traditional sense. His celebrations and antics could possibly be flamboyant in some minds.

If he were to be the referee then he would definitely have to do it down the middle, because as big a legend as he is, people really dislike Cole.
