Brian Bowles Vs. Damacio Page

Bantamweight Bout

Brian Bowles (-140, 8-1-0)

Three wins by knockout, five by submission

One loss by knockout

Damacio Page (+110, 12-5-0)

Six wins by knockout, five by submission, one by decision

Four losses by submission, one by decision

Breakdown: A fight between two very good fighters. Bowles is coming off the first loss of his career and happened to lose his bantamweight title in the process. It's both fighters UFC debut and a rematch. Last fight Bowles submitted Paige in the first round. Paige is a good fighter so we'll give him some credit in this prediction. Don't think he has the ability to win in this rematch. Not yet anyway.

Prediction: Bowles via Submission in Round One (But late in round one, I said I would give him some credit, still think it would end the same way)

Alessio Sakara vs. Chris Weidman

Middleweight Bout

Alessio Sakara (+170, 15-7-0, 1 NC)

Nine wins by knockout, four by decision, one by submission

Three losses by knockout, two by decision, two by submission

Chris Weidman (-210, 4-0-0)

Two by knockout, one by decision, one by submission

No losses

Breakdown: Sakara should have this one in the bag. It's Weidman's first fight in the UFC and hasn't exactly faced murderer's row. Sakara should be able stand and fend off Weidman the majority of the fight. Sakara's skill and experience should stop Weidman short into the fight. Sakara will extend his three fight win streak and give Weidman his first loss.

Prediction: Sakara via TKO in Round One

C.B. Dollaway vs. Mark Munoz

Dollawaymunoz_display_image

Middleweight Bout

C.B. Dollaway (+140, 11-2-0)

Five wins by knockout, three by decision, three by submission

Two losses by submission

Mark Munoz (-170, 9-2-0)

Four wins by knockout, four by decision, one by submission

One loss by knockout, one by decision

Breakdown: It says a lot when the biggest name you've faced is Amir Sadollah, and not only that, but you lost. That's Dollaway for you. He has some great skill but it's been shown against weak competition. Still, it's a tough fight to call. Munoz definitely has the skill and experience to win but I think it will be a lot closer then people think. Going out on a limb with my pick so call me crazy.

Munoz via Split Decision

Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann

Main Event

Welterweight Bout

Diego Sanchez (+130, 24-4-0)

Eight wins by submission, seven by knockout, six by decision

Three losses by decision, one by knockout

Martin Kampmann (-160, 17-4-0)

Seven wins by knockout, six by submission, three by decision, one by disqualification

Three losses by knockout, one by decision

Breakdown: This is by far my favorite fight of the night. This is going to be a huge test for both fighters. Kampmann is the classic striker and Sanchez has the wrestling and grappling edge in this fight. This fight could quickly turn into a war. Either way, whether it be a ground battle or a stand-up battle, Sanchez has a good edge. Look for Sanchez's grappling ability and for him to shoot for the takedowns. Kampmann may be the favorite, but personally, yeah he's coming off a very big split decision loss to Jake Shields, but Sanchez is a phenomenal fighter. He may be smaller then Kampmann but I feel he has the edge in everything except the striking department.

Prediction: Sanchez via TKO in Round Two

Undercard Fights

Prediction: Thiago Taveres

Takeya Mizugaki (+110, 13-5-2) vs. Reuben Duran (-140, 7-2-1)

Prediction: Takeya Mizugaki

Prediction: Dong Yi Yang

Prediction: Dave Branch
