NASCAR Needs to Intercede for Emily Maynard

Spoiler alert, if you are a fan of the Bachelor 15 as well as the Bachelorette, stop reading now!

Reality Steve is reporting that the next Bachelorette will definitely not be Emily Maynard.  This is bad news for Emily fans.  As was reported earlier, it appears from Internet rumors that Brad Womack does not pick Maynard but Chantel O’Brien.  Rumors have swirled that Emily could be the next Bachelorette.  

Reality Steve writes, 

"As I’ve mentioned all season long, the “Bachelorette” would be Emily’s gig as long as she wanted it. She’s beautiful, she’s got the tragic back story, plenty of the women viewers of this show would want to see her find love once this journey for her ends at the final 2, and it’s the perfect match.

"In fact, from the very moment I confirmed Emily was a contestant on this show back Oct. 6th, I was told her goal was to be the “Bachelorette,” but the producers told her for that to happen she had to at least appear on the “Bachelor” first so America could know who she is and they could build up her storyline."

So it seems like there was a plan in place for Emily to be the Bachelorette but for some unknown reason, it has fallen through.

Reality Steve goes on to write,

"For six seasons in a row now, the lead has been cast from a previous season, so putting Emily in front of America, having her get to the end and not be the final one leads perfectly into having her as our next “Bachelorette.”

"Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. I can report today that absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, Emily will not be the next “Bachelorette.” Doesn’t mean I know who it is yet, because I don’t, but for all the Emily fans out there, sorry to disappoint you. She will not be next season's “Bachelorette.”

I, for one, am one of those fans who are disappointed.  Emily has displayed class, charm and beauty along with a character and maturity that is beyond her years.  Fans of hers are many.

This is bad news for NASCAR, and if I were one of the leaders of NASCAR I would be on the phone ASAP to ABC and the producers of the Bachelor/Bachelorette series.  Emily being the next Bachelorette would mean almost three months of free advertising for NASCAR. 

No doubt, had Emily been on, there would be continued emphasis on her past love with Ricky Hendrick and his tragic death. America could also get an inside glimpse into the world of NASCAR and people could even meet the Hendrick Racing Team. 

But it sounds like it is not going to happen.  I hope all these rumors are wrong, but if not, NASCAR does not have much time.  If you are a fan of Emily as well as NASCAR, email or call ABC now and let your voice be heard.
