WWE: 10 Tag Teams That Should Return/Form (Updated)

Nate ScacciaJun 7, 2018

It is no secret that the current WWE tag team division is in need of some work. I would argue it is in need of a total overhaul. The sad thing is that the WWE has talent and the capabilities to have a really good tag team division, if they could just get Creative behind it. This article will give my ideas for the tag team division.

No.10 The Dudley Boyz

1 of 11

Since these guys are in TNA they end up here at number 10. The Dudleys (Bubba Ray and D-Von) were once one of the most entertaining teams in the WWE. They held the tag titles for a record nine times. Frequently using tables, they helped introduce the TLC concept. If they ever decided to give up on TNA I think they could give the WWE tag division a boost.

D-VON GET THE TABLES!!!

No.9 Booker T and Goldust

2 of 11

Why not reform this tag team? They were an odd pair that had their fair share of success. Booker T and Goldust were two of the funniest superstars back in the early 2000's. Together these guys held the tag gold once, it was in 2002 and they held the belts for 22 days. Not the best resume, but they were one of the more interesting tag teams in WWE history.

No. 8 Hart Dynasty

3 of 11

D.H. Smith and Tyson Kidd have not had success since their team broke up. The division also lost one of its only real teams. These guys held the belts once, and could get more reigns with a return. They were the first modern Unified Tag Team Champions, but if they do not reform then I do not see much for them in the future.

No. 7 The Colons (Primo and Tito)

4 of 11

Currently Tito Colon is in FCW development. I think that the WWE should call him up soon and team him with his cousin Primo. This would be a quick tag team and one that would be easy to understand why they are partners. The WWE would not have to go through a whole storyline to make this team, they could just introduce them one day.

No. 6 Deuce 'n Domino

5 of 11

I liked these guys when they were in the WWE. They should get another run in the and with the current tag division they should be successful. Why not feud them with the Hart Dynasty, both have a valet and could have some good matches.

No. 5 Making My Own Team Here; Chris Masters and Skip Sheffield

6 of 11

Why would I want these two to make a tag team? Chris Masters can wrestle and seems to have a decent reaction when he comes to the ring. Skip Sheffield is due back from injury soon and it has been rumored that he would become a babyface superstar. Why not give him a fresh start and put him with Masters? Both men are big and I think this could be an interesting team.

No. 4 Ted and Brett DiBiase

7 of 11

Brett DiBiase is another wrestler who is in FCW Development. Ted has had nothing to do but jobs and squash matches. If the WWE calls up Brett then they could form a team and save Ted's career. This would be another team that would require little build to form it, just create the team and the WWE Universe would understand why they have formed.

No. 3 Rated RKO

8 of 11

This was one of the good teams of the last five years. They were an interesting and successful team that could be reformed. I do not think they would be able to form for long term but they could reform to take on Alberto and Miz for a period of time; who knows what that could lead to?

No. 2 After More Thought and Ideas; Drew McIntyre and Sheamus

9 of 11
Just replace Tiffany with a turned heel Kelly Kelly and you have your team.
Just replace Tiffany with a turned heel Kelly Kelly and you have your team.

This tag team could do wonders for the division. Drew needs something to put him over the top and Sheamus simply needs something to do. These guys go way back in their careers together so they would have some great chemistry. People love to hate Sheamus and Drew, put them together and you have a tag team for a certain time. Let them run for 6 months or so and then send them off after the WWE/World Heavyweight titles.

No. 1 Edge and Christian

10 of 11

I would much rather have this team than Rated RKO.

Edge and Christian were one of the best tag teams in WWE history. They won the straps seven times and had the best charisma in recent memory. I loved to watch them and would love to see them back again. It would give the division a boost and would be interesting. I think the reformation would have to come towards the end of each superstar's career. They give tag wrestling another 6 or 7 month run and then retire after a big bout where they pass the torch on to another team.

TLC anyone?

End

That concludes my list. i left out the Hardy Boys because Jeff is going through drug problems and I feel Matt is on bad terms with WWE.

Did I leave anyone out? Let me know in the comment section.

Thanks for reading.
