Red-Hot Calgary Flames Riding High on One Line
The Calgary Flames are currently positioned one point out of second place in the Western Conference, thanks to a recent 13-2-4 run.
There is one factor responsible for the Flames' recent success.
No, not Mike Keenan.

Could Nemec Get an Offer Sheet? 🤔
No, not their stellar defense.
And no, even not Miikka Kiprusoff—although he has had some spectacular games.
To explain the Flames' hot streak, you need to look no further than the tandem of Kristian Huselius, and Daymond Langkow, and Jarome Iginla.
Iginla, currently second in both goals and points in the NHL scoring race, has 27 points in his last 19 games, including 19 goals—a 1.00 Goals Per Game average.
Huselius, who is 13th in points in the NHL, has had two five-point games in the Flames' 19-game run, and has 28 points overall in the same stretch, a 1.47 Points Per Game average.
The center of the line-up, Alberta native Langkow, has not been as hot as his counterparts, recording only 18 points in the same span. Still hot, he has recorded nearly one point per game, including three points against the Kings on Saturday, and is 32nd in the NHL Points race.
This line-up was created recently coach Mike Keenan. Combining these three players did them all a favour. The first line has recorded an incredible 73 points in their last 19 games, equivalent to nearly four points per game. They also recorded 39 goals, averaging almost two goals per game. Eight game-winning goals have also been contributed by this line-up.
So look no further for the hottest line in the NHL. Kristian Huselius is no longer known as soft, nor Jarome Iginla as inconsistent. They are the hottest line in hockey, and are the reason that the Flames have collected 30 points out of a possible 39.
