Walker-Sports College Football Pick'em Week 3 Results

Dumont WalkerSep 18, 2008

Week 3 of the college football season is in the books, and just like we do every week, itโ€™s time to look back at the picks made here at Walker-Sports and prove why we are amongst the elite at picking football games. Well sort of, last week we ran into a few unexpected wrinkles, but who doesnโ€™t?

Last week we looked at six football games and picked winners straight up for all of them. Out of those six games we picked five games using the point spread. I am proud to say I went five for six straight up and three out of five against the spread. Looks like a solid week here at Walker-Sports and a good week for our College Football Pickโ€™em.

South Florida 37 vs. Kansas 34: Truly one of the great games on the weekend. South Florida hung in there and got a field goal as time expired and as predicted the 3.5 spread too close to mess with.

UConn 45 vs. UVA 10: UVA may be the worst team in Division 1 football and a 1-10 season is not out of reach. The spread was 11, and that was blown away in the first 10 minutes.

BYU 59 vs. UCLA 0: The Cougars bounced back strong from a close win in the previous week, and more importantly they had no problem covering the 8.5 point spread.

Georgia 14 vs. South Carolina 7: This was our upset special last week and the Gamecocks almost pulled it off. Lucky for us they had what it took to cover the 8.5 point spread. Georgia may be the weakest #1 team ever.

Notre Dame 35 vs. Michigan 17: โ€œMichigan should have no problem covering the 2 point spread.โ€ Well even greatness is wrong sometimes, and boy did I prove that one here. Maybe if UofM doesnโ€™t commit 6 turnovers they can keep it respectable.

USC 35 vs. OSU 3: I said take USC even if the spread grew to +14 with the injury to Wells and you could have let it grow to 20 and you would have been safe. Another amazing performance put on by the Trojans.
