Bleacher Creatures: Vote For Your Hockey Team

Miah D.Senior Writer ISeptember 19, 2008

The Hockey News has launched a "logo ranking tournament" among hockey teams from different leagues.

The poll has gone from the round of 16 to the quarterfinals.

The vote is still going on, and we will have the opportunity to support our respective teams—or more objectively, what we think is the best team logo.

The NHL teams still on are the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Philadelphia Flyers have been eliminated by the Leafs, while the Pittsburgh Penguins have been outscored by the Florida Everblades from the ECHL. And the Blackhawks got over the San Jose Sharks, while the Stanley Cup defenders won the votes against the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.

There is still time.  The polls close on September 22.  Make sure your choice is registered. After all, those pictures on front of those jersey represent much more than simple symbols—they are what we have been standing up for during our entire careers as hockey fan.

The current NHL battle goes between Detroit and Toronto. The other NHL teams are opposed to teams from different leagues. The Montreal Canadiens are facing the North Dakota Fighting Sioux from the NCAA. Finally, the Chicago Blackhawks are faced with the QMJHL Rimouski Oceanic.

They also published their rankings of the NHL teams' logos.

Cheers, and happy voting!
