2011 WWE Royal Rumble: Detailed Predictions for the Biggest Rumble Ever

Micheal Robinson@nyyrobinsonSenior Analyst IIJanuary 30, 2011

Alright, the time has arrived, the Royal Rumble is here.

As crowds begin to file into the TD Garden in Boston to witness this amazing spectacle, I've finally found some time to sit down and put up some predictions.

First off, I have made a nice predictions entry form that you and your friends can use tonight, it is located here.

I will base my predictions off of what I filled out on that form as well.

I am sure the night will start off with the Divas Championship Match, however, they have been known to throw in a tag team match or even start off with a big match, like Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler.

I'll start with the Divas match anyway.

Divas Championship Match

Natalya vs. Lay-Cool

I do think Natalya will lose the title to one of the members of Lay-Cool, more specifically, Layla.

Word has it, that former TNA wrestler Kia Stevens, "Awesome Kong," could get involved in this one tonight, if she does, she will likely help one of the members of Lay-Cool win.

I do think Layla getting the pin will cause a rift in Lay-Cool and Layla turning face.

Winners: Lay-Cool (Layla)

World Heavyweight Championship Match

Edge (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

I love this match, to be honest with my fellow Bleachers.  What isn't to love about this one?  Dolph Ziggler is getting a well-deserved push in this one, and he doesn't even need to win to leave the Royal Rumble successful.

I think he will put on a great show and this match will be way better then the WWE Championship contest.  It won't steal the show due to the Rumble match, but it will be a good one.

Ziggler will get his time, but it isn't now.  Edge will find a way to win without using his banned spear after all, he could get some help from a returning Christian.

Winner: Edge

WWE Championship Match

The Miz (c) vs. Randy Orton

I loved when The Miz proved a lot of us wrong and became a champion, I knew it would eventually happen, but at the same time, three years ago, I would of told you different. I can't believe how far he has got.

Now, I  just want it to end, though.  Orton is my guy and I want him wearing that belt into the Georgia Dome when I am sitting near the ring at WrestleMania 27 in my hometown.

However, if Orton is going to wear the belt into 'Mania as Champion, he is going to have to do it at Elimination Chamber.  The Miz is leaving Boston with the gold.

Winner: The Miz

Royal Rumble Match

Let me be very clear and probably echo a lot of other WWE fans out there, this is my favorite 60-plus minutes of the entire WWE year.

Now that we have 40 competitors instead of 30, wow.

This could go either way.  It could be really good, or it could be really bad, there is no in between.

Going by my Predictions Entry Form listed above, I will list my predictions for the Rumble.

First Entry: Sheamus

Longest Survivor: John Morrison (Breaking Rey Mysterio's Record)

Shortest Span:
Sheamus (Eliminated by a returning Triple H coming out at No. 2.)

Six Wrestlers Not Listed Who Will Be In The Rumble: Kevin Nash, Booker T, The Undertaker, Michael Tarver, Triple H, Cody Rhodes "Masked"

Final Four:
Mason Ryan, John Morrison, CM Punk, John Cena

Final Two:
Mason Ryan, CM Punk

CM Punk

The way I see this playing out is Mason Ryan, CM Punk and John Morrison working together to eliminate John Cena.  After that, Morrison will be eliminated by Ryan and Punk.

Then, Mason Ryan will show CM Punk his "faith" for him by allowing Punk to eliminate him to become the winner of the 2011 Royal Rumble.

I could be way off on these, but as long as the show is good, that is all that matters to me.  Enjoy it, guys!  Remember, feel free to print out my entry form and use it along with your friends.

Comment and let everyone know how you did, don't lie!  Be honest!  To help people believe you more, comment with your completed entry form before the Royal Rumble begins.
