Cue the theme music, that's right, we are talking about Michelle Wie again. This time however, she is actually making a sound career decision.

Going back to Q School would be a career-saving move for the young golf sensation who has seemingly been making headlines for a lifetime.

Michelle Wie has spent her entire LPGA career playing on sponsors' exemptions, and those have finally run out. She also failed to earn enough money to remain eligible to stay on the LPGA Tour. This means the only way she can still compete on the Tour is by jumping through the rings at Q School.

Now Q School is no cakewalk, but it is also nothing to be ashamed of. Many PGA Golfers have fallen from greatness and had to start over in Q School. Those who had what it took to complete the competition agreed it made them better golfers in the end.

This could also be the case for Michelle Wie. Q School events garner little attention; the bright lights are not there as distractions. Nike does not care if you wear their gear or not.

The only objective at Q school is strike it long and straight and just make the cut. Peoples livelihoods are at stake. Michelle Wie's future will be at stake.

At 18 years old, Wie could play golf seemingly for another 25-30 years on the Tour. But if she wants to be more than a sideshow attraction, she needs to accept and jump this hurdle.

Q School is a humbling experience. It will force her to focus on her game. Hopefully when she comes out on the other end, she will have a better understanding of herself and a greater respect for the game.

If not, then she will go down in history as another child prodigy who turned out to be a bust.
