Hulk Hogan On The Mend After 10-Hour Back Surgery

Jason Taylor@jtay59Correspondent IDecember 23, 2010

Radaronline.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan is "recovering smoothly" after undergoing spinal fusion surgery.

Hogan checked himself into a Tampa area hospital early Tuesday morning to address his injured back, which was mainly caused by years of wear and tear inside the ring.

The former six-time WWE Champion underwent 10 hours of surgery that consisted of fusion work, restructuring and rebuilding of his spine.

The 57-year old Hogan is currently bedridden, but his condition will be assessed soon by a physical therapist.

The plan is to get Hogan moving and hopefully back home in a few days.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery to "The Hulkster."
