Fantasy Football Live Injury Updates and Advice, Week 12
Every week at FFSpin.com we post our interactive injury/status update grid on Friday night. We update the sortable data as news comes in and beginning at 10:30 on Sunday morning we give live updates and fantasy advice right up to game time. Here is the link to the status grid.
Here are some of he most important status updates for fantasy football owners...
Jonathan Stewart -ACTIVE - He will play and may even start week 12. So, there goes the warm and fuzzy Mike Goodson feeling for owners that thought they had something. Stewart stumbled when given the opportunity once before so it would not be surprise to see him perform poorly enough that Goodson gets the lion's share of carries. We think Goodson has more upside, but that's necessarily saying much. ESPN has Goodson ranked at #27 and Stewart at #54 in their RB rankings.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
C.J. Spiller - QUESTIONABLE - Word out of Buffalo is that Spiller is 50/50 and that the team will error on the side of caution. Spiller's value is minimal especially in his first week back. Fred Jackson is proving just how little the Bills needed to invest a top 10 pick in a running back. Well, at least it's not like they had massive holes elsewhe....oh. Start Fred Jackson.
Mike Sims-Walker - QUESTIONABLE - A high ankle sprain may keep him out again. He wants to play and he did practice on a limited basis on Friday. If he plays he may be more of a distraction to free up Mike Thomas and the run game. FFToolbox.com has Mike Thomas ranked 38th in their WR rankings for this week. We think that's a bit too low, but he is no more than a WR#3 against the leagues second best pass defense.
Malcolm Floyd - QUESTIONABLE - Floyd will probably go from the looks of things, but we recommend that you proceed with caution. Vincent Jackson is making his return and he reportedly looks great in practice. Floyd and Legadu Naanee are both less than 100% and both likely to play. This has the makings of a situation where they would split snaps opposite Jackson, who will think is a solid WR#2.
Ryan Torain - OUT - Great news for Keiland Williams owners. He will get a big workload again. More than 20 carries and 6 targets from McNabb sounds about right. Williams is not a great back, but with that kind of workload he is in line for he should be considered a low end RB#2 or flex play. Williams faces a stingy run defense in the Minnesota Vikings or he may be ranked higher. WalterFootball.com has him at #24 in their RB rankings
Brandon Marshall - DOUBTFUL - Marshall was not producing before the injury. He was racking up as many person foul yards as he was receiving yards...because he is an idiot. Chad Henne is back this week, but even if Marshall does take the field, we recommend finding an alternative. He will not be 100% and the Raiders pass defense is very good. If Nnamdi Asomugha plays he will shut down the diva that is Brandon Marshall.
