WWE Survivor Series 2010 Review: John Cena Is "Fired," Randy Orton Retains

Andre HarrisonCorrespondent INovember 21, 2010

Hello everyone, Harrison here with your results and review of WWE's Survivor Series 2010 PPV, featuring Kane defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Edge, and John Cena's fate will be decided as Randy Orton defends his WWE Championship against Wade Barrett in a Free or Fired Match. It's time for the Harrison Analysis!

Daniel Bryan vs Ted DiBiase (United States Championship Match)

Result: Daniel Bryan retains with the Lebell Lock (10:00)

Harrison's Analysis: How does Bryan Danielson do it? He keeps producing great matches with lesser opponents again and again. That's the best Ted has ever looked in a WWE Singles Match. Seriously, Daniel Bryan is THAT good. For real. perfect choice of opener!

Harrison Match Rating: *** ¼ Stars

Sheamus vs John Morrison

Result: John Morrison wins with a Running Knee Strike (11:15)

Harrison's Analysis: A badly-paced match, but it had a great story of Morrison being plucky and picking his spots, while Sheamus was being a bully, throwing Morrison around like a bully. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with Morrison on offense. About the same as the last match.

Harrison Match Rating: *** ¼ Stars

Dolph Ziggler vs Kaval (Intercontinental Championship Match)

Result: Dolph Ziggler retains with a Leverage Pin (9:35)

Harrison's Analysis: Kaval is awesome. That is all. Okay, but seriously, Kaval's offence was superb and he should be given more a push because his performance was awesome here. Shame the finish came out of nowhere and was a bit of a buzz kill. Still a good match though.

Harrison Match Rating: *** ¼ Stars

Team Mysterio (Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, MVP and Chris Masters) vs Team Del Rio (Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre and Tyler Reks)

Result: Rey Mysertio and The Big Show survive after a 619 to Drew McIntyre (18:15)

Harrison's Analysis: A very fun match, everyone hit their spots well, the lesser guys time in the ring was kept to a minimum, and some guys looked really good, especially one Jack Swagger looking like a young Kurt Angle...But Del Rio was knocked out early on and was never pinned afterwards...I smell a conspiracy!

Harrison Match Rating: *** ½ Stars

Natalya vs Team Laycool (2-On-1 Handicap Match for the Divas Championships)

Result: Natalya wins the Divas Championship after a Sharpshooter on McCool (3:30)

Harrison's Analysis: Five stars. Natalya won. Okay, an actual analysis? The match itself was good. Nothing special really, and rather short, but they mixed it up from usual Divas Matches, so that always gets a plus in my book.

Harrison Match Rating: ** Stars

Kane vs Edge (World Heavyweight Championship Match)

Result: The match ended in a draw after a double cover (12:40).

Harrison's Analysis: A draw? On pay-per-view? Dumb booking, boringly wrestled, headscratcher...NEXT.

Harrison Match Rating: * ½ Stars

Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater vs Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov (WWE Tag Team Championship Match)

Result: Heath Slater retains the Tag Titles with a...Reverse Neckbreaker (5:35)

Harrison's Analysis: Nothing much to say here...I mean, does it take six men to beat Santino Marella? A dirty finish on an irrelevant match...Not good.

Harrison Match Rating: * ½ Stars

Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett (Free or Fired Match for the WWE Championship)

Result: Randy Orton retains with an RKO (15:15)

Harrison's Analysis: Wow...Just wow. THAT I didn't see coming. The match was supplementary, it was decent, so no complaints there. Cena selling the afterwards was brilliantly well done. Wrestlers, take note, THIS is how you sell a swerve. Vince Russo, you taking notes?

Harrison Match Rating: *** Stars (Bonus .5 for the Overall Score)

Harrison's Overall Thoughts on The Show

Not a bad show here. The quality was a little lacking but consistent in the first half...It dropped off for the Second Half, and it was certainly a newsworthy show. I can't wait to see so many other columns discussing this one. And let's face it, we're ALL going to be watching RAW tomorrow! I've been Andre Harrison, thanks for reading, and Sayonara!

+ Ziggler/Kaval, Bryan/DiBiase, Team Rey/Team Del Rio, Cena's "firing"

- Some headscratching booking, World Title Match, Tag Title Match

Harrison's WWE Survivor Series 2010 Rating: 7.0 out of 10 - Good
