Mask in the Bag: Kane and Rey Mysterio Making WWE Interesting.

He carried it around for weeks, wondering, "Is he alive? Or is he dead?" And just like the current General Manager Mike Adamle, I too thought Kane was bringing back his mask.

I looked forward to it every week. I waited for him to be in a situation where he was losing, and just as Undertaker's old urn used to provide him with supernatural powers, so to would Kane's mask.

He would once again don the mask and no longer be just a monster, but become an upstopable machine once more. Delivering choke slam after choke slam with no remorse, no emotion, and no change of an expression on his masked covered face.

I, as well as others I think, was extremely disappointed to find out that it was the mask of Rey Mysterio. Mysterio has been missing off television for a while now, I assumed due to an injury of some sorts. However, I think we are meant to believe that he's been missing thanks to Kane.

Last Monday we saw Kane deliver a cryptic message from the basement of some building, but no mention of the mask directly or of Rey Mysterio. The only mention of Mysterio on the show is that now he has been added to the Title Scramble match.

I was always a fan of Kane and was really hoping to see the return of his mask with this storyline, and while it doesn't seem as though it's over, I'm afraid a masked Kane return is just not to be.

Possibly it's due to the fact that the man himself is much scarier than the masked version. Maybe they are worried about it hindering his wrestling or interviewing abilities. However, the last mask he wore did give him the ability to talk so it wouldn't hurt his mic skills.

When will we see Mysterio again? Will it be before Unforgiven? Will he return with a mask or without? Possibly they'll have him return with a mask that was similar to Kane's. Maybe this is finally the heel turn of Rey Mysterio, if that's possible, and we will see an alliance between the Monster and the High Flyer.
