TNA IMPACT! Slamback: Mind over Matter
All summer, the legends of professional wrestling have been getting disrespected by the new generation of superstars. But one sole superstar has made it his business to get respect back into the industry. Tonight, we got one step closer to getting all the answers.
Long Road To Glory
For the past couple of weeks, we have been seeing several elite superstars battle out for the right to face Samoa Joe at NO SURRENDER for the TNA World Championship in a Four Ways to Glory Match. Last week, Booker T defeated Rhino to earn a spot in the four way dance in Canada.

Tonight, we saw the return of Kevin Nash to the ring for his shot at glory. But there were two problems for Nash tonight: One was his opponent being Kurt Angle, who is still fuming over the loss of his Olympic Gold Medal to AJ Styles. The second was the presence of TNA Champion Samoa Joe at the announcers table. Thanks to Joe's interference, Angle was able to punch his ticket to the Four Ways To Glory Match. But it's clear that this issue between Joe and Nash is far from done.
Knockouts Cross The Line Once Again
Ever since she won the Knockouts Championship, Taylor Wilde has been a target for everyone in the Knockouts Division. But after all the Knockouts found out that Gail Kim has walked away from TNA for personal reasons, the road to Glory is a little easier for The Beautiful People. But they have some roadblocks to get past.
After defeating Roxxi and Wilde tonight, TBP has made it their business to get in everyone's little happy place. But with the addition of "Cute" Kip, they may have crossed over to the other side of TNA. After trying to embarrass their opponents following the victory, TBP found themselves almost broken in half by a charging Rhino. The War Machine came down and made it clear that enough is enough...but why would he come down to help the Knockouts?
It's official now. TNA Management's Jim Cornette made the announcement that Traci Brooks will now be the official "boss" of the Knockouts Division. Cornette made it clear that he doesn't care how she does it, but she has to bring order to the Knockouts Division ASAP. Maybe that's why The War Machine got involved in the fray that was going on involving NO SURRENDER opponents Angelina Love and Taylor Wilde. Or maybe Rhino is gunning for some payback of his own...
Crouching Icon, Hidden Stroke
Sting finally broke his silence about his actions over the past few months. After attacking Samoa Joe and AJ Styles, it was time for The Icon to atone for his actions. When Sting came to the ring, it was clear that he didn't care about who was hurt by his words or not. And when he spoke, the world was left in shock.
Sting said that he had to once again become the parent/babysitter to a mediocre young roster. He said that he had to bring respect for the sport back from the group of individuals (e.g. Samoa Joe & AJ Styles) that have none for the legends of the business. He then dared anyone to come down and prove him wrong. With that, AJ Styles came down to confront his idol.
Styles made it clear that all Sting did was hide from the same people he claimed he was trying to help. But Sting gave AJ a chance to get his payback by handing him the baseball bat and giving him a free shot. Styles turned Sting back around and tried to take the swing, but Sting countered and dropped him with a Scorpion Death Drop. As Sting tried to explain his actions, a familiar entrance started in the IMPACT! Zone.
But this time, the lights didn't go out. The music played, and a mysterious aura filled the Zone as Sting looked around and smirked as he knew what was coming...and who was coming. As TNA went off the air for the evening, the questions for Sting were answered...but the Mystery of The Stroke continues.
Next Week On IMPACT!
