Fantasy Football Reserves

Fantasy bloggers always write articles about the top 10 at a given position or their "sleeper" picks.  But what about consistent guys you want on your bench for your bye weeks (or if you happen to have a 2007 Rudi Johnson)?  I got a few names which should be able to step in early in the season and perform well.  Most these guys, fantasy owners don't want so they'll be there in the late rounds.

We'll start with QB and work our way to Team Defenses.

QB
1) Philip Rivers - He's good for 20 TDs and around 10 ints.  With Chris Chambers he could do better.
2) David Garrard - This guy doesn't throw interceptions.  3 last season in 11 games.  3!!!  With new receiving options he may hit the endzone more often too.  But he does have a tendency to get hurt.
3) Jeff Garcia - Same as Garrard.  Just 4 ints last season in 13 games.

RB
1) Kenny Watson or Chris Perry - Due to injuries at WR and the Bengals desire for a balanced attack, whichever is the starter is going to see a lot of carries.
2) Maurice Morris or Julius Jones - Again, the starter is gonna see a lot of carries, because of injuries and a balanced attack.
3) Sammy Morris - Number 2 in New England again, but he'll creep his way back into getting a bulk of the second half and goalline carries.
4) Leon Washington - He's a consistent scorer for the Jets who score very little.  Favre should change that a tad.

WR
1) Amani Toomer or Steve Smith - After Burress's big year, one of these guys is going to put up solid numbers.
2) Patrick Crayton - An average number 2 WR who should put better numbers this year with Jason Witten attracting attention.
3) Nate Burleson - All of a sudden, he is Seattle's #1 WR.

TE
1) Kevin Boss - I'm expecting an average or below average year from TEs all around.  With the Giants' weapons, Boss will draw favorable match ups and get a lot of passes.
2) Zach Miller - Russell's favorite target and was solid last season.
3) Todd Heap - Injured last year, expect this guy to return to regular form.

K
1) Kris Brown - 5 50+ last season.
2) Shaun Suisham - 10 40-49 yarders last season.
3) Ryan Longwell - Kicks in a dome and his teams defense will get him good field position often.

DEF
1) Washington - When Landry returns to the lineup, their secondary will be shut down again.
2) Pittsburgh - Their defense is returning to its top form without Polamalu.
3) Philadelphia - Poor last season, but they are typically good at getting turnovers.  The addition of Samuel will help.
