I was surfing around on Al Gore’s internet, and found an article that was a bit shocking to me. The Article I found was about bringing paintball into the Olympics.
My initial reaction was one of shock and surprise. I remember seeing paintball on TV once, but only once, and so I believe paintball isn’t even close to having the kind of popularity needed. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing paintball with the guys every couple weekends, but an Olympic sport might be taking it a little far—make that a lot far.
They took Softball out of the Olympics because it was “too American.” I don’t think you can get more “American” than paintball. I’m no paintball history buff, but didn’t we invent paintball? Aren’t we pretty much the only country to play it? The whole “too American” argument might be moot though with the induction of BMX into the Olympics, I’m pretty sure we made that one up also.
On a lighter note, can you imagine the epic matchups?
Iran Vs. USA
North Korea Vs. South Korea
Iraq Vs. Iran
I’m telling you, forget ping pong diplomacy, paintball diplomacy is the next big thing.

LOL, i find this histerical cause I wrote an article bout 10 sports I'd love to see in the Olympics, paintball was number 3 or something. I would love to see paintball in there. but i dont think it will cuz it's "too American" like BMX isnt.

obviously your a rec baller and really have no idea about how competative skill intensive and training intensive paintball at a tournament level really is. You clearly did no research on the sport and are only looking at this from a Rec ballers perspective.
If your going to give an opinion on somthing try making it an informed one all you do is run around every couple weekends shooting your buddies some players train 5 days a week eat drink live and dream paintball and are paid for it....
granted i will agree the game is not as popular as soccer but neither is skeet shooting, bob sleding, javlin throw or many many many other "sports" in the olympics and i guarantee paintball (the not recball kind) is has alot more popularity then many of the sports and events in the olympics today.
