Ryan O'Hearn's 10-RBI Game 🤯

50 Home Wins

AlexAug 23, 2008

Over the past month or so you've probably read a lot about how the American League Central could be a race to 90 wins for the Twins and White Sox. Recently while doing some research for an article I noticed something about the team's home records since they moved into the Metrodome.

Take a quick look.

Since 1982 the Twins have won 50 home games just four times. Take a quick look above and you'll see that those seasons were '87, '91, '02, and '06. In each season that the team has won 50 games at home they've made the playoffs. Twice they've made it to the World Series.

So maybe even more so than collecting 90 victories (which will be key), maybe the Twins should be aiming for that 50 home-win mark too. They'll need to win just four out of their final twelve remaining games at the Dome to do so.
