The Minnesota Vikings and coach Brad Childress wanted to make a statement.

They made it.

Pro Bowl wide receiver Randy Moss was placed on waivers today following a dismal return to the place of his star growth and a press conference that the Vikings were jealous about.

Here are the top five places that Randy Moss could end up.

No. 5: Buffalo Bills

Seeing how the Buffalo Bills get first shot at picking up Randy Moss and his contract since they have yet to win a game automatically puts them on this list.

No doubt they would love to sink their teeth into Moss and give a red hot Ryan Fitzpatrick someone to throw to not named Lee Evans.

No. 4: Dallas Cowboys

Jerry Jones has already apologized to his fans for not bringing a winning season to that pretty new stadium.

But he is known for making a splash and bringing high profile players with attitude problems—Terrell Owens—into Big D and selling a lot of merchandise with their name on it.

After the already lost season for Dallas it would make it a tough sell to pick up Randy Moss for only half a season with barely any time left on his contract.

No. 3: New England Patriots

Wouldn't that make the story of the year?

Minnesota gives up a third round draft pick to take Randy Moss away from the Patriots and then he ends up back there and New England keeps the pick. What a scheme.

Movie quality script there huh?

ESPN's Tedy Bruschi said, "(Moss) spent three years, three plus years with Coach Belichick and then he spent three plus weeks with Brad Childress. He sees the difference."

Belichick can win with Randy Moss. Obviously, Brad Childress could not.

No. 2: Chicago Bears

Yeah, Da Bears have already courted Randy Moss once this season, according to ESPN.com.

A fit with a halfway dead offense to liven up a interception-happy Jay Cutler would be the kind of place where Randy Moss could flourish.

I am sure the Vikings would really like to get him out of the division but the Bears could make a strong point to pick up Moss' contract since they still have a pretty decent shot at winning their division.

No. 1: Washington Redskins

Yes I am a Redskins Featured Columnist.

Yes I am saying this out of a somewhat wishful thinking greed.

But Randy Moss could fit as a Redskin.

Owner Dan Snyder is known for pulling in big time players with contracts and working his magic to get them paid under the cap.

Two things the Redskins fans have cried for all season have been a better offensive line and a big time wide receiver.

Randy Moss certainly fits the second bill well.

Donovan McNabb is used to having a hot headed wide receiver in his huddle—Terrell Owens—and can manage it fairly well.

Washington is also already in the market for a big wide receiver, notably their attempts to get disgruntled Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson earlier this season.

With the bye week approaching, time to learn part of the system and the team already in the market with a potential playoff push in the NFC, the Redskins could be a viable candidate for Randy Moss to land.
